Any guesses? A few years ago I would have sworn Ben Wallace would kill it.

Maybe Reggie Evans, Pekovic?

Highly doubt any 7 footer is benching the most in the league. Earl Boykins used to bench 315 lbs.

Iguodala, R.Evans, Lebron, or Pekovic are my guesses.

If I had to pick one I'd go with R.Evans.

Wilt was a mr.universe type of body builder strong. Arnold would always talk about that. He would probably bench the most out of anyone in the nba

that is who I thought too. The longer the arms, the worse off you are. But, I think if there is someone in the 6'0"-6'3" area who is a big guy would win. Can't think of one..

Griffin, David West, Lebron, Iguodala, Nate, Tony Allen and Ben Gordon.

I reckon Artest trained by bench pressing mountains. So him too, if he was in the league.

probably dwight or another bigman.

315 lbs is not a lot, i think dwight can do 400+

Read that james does 225 15 times. Not that impressive considering that's about what I can do and I'm 30lbs lighter. Damn I thought James was an impressive athlete, but check out megatron.

LeBron James: 68 250 lb.

Calvin Johnson: 65 235 lb.

Speed (40 yd dash/100 m dash)

LeBron James: 4.92 sec/11.58 sec

Calvin Johnson: 4.33 sec/10.23 sec

Vertical Leap (from standing position)

LeBron James: 44 inches

Calvin Johnson: 48 inches

Strength (Bench Press of 225 lb)

LeBron James: 15 reps

Calvin Johnson: 22 reps

I really doubt wilt did that. Basketball players have pretty bad mechanics for benching they have a much longer ROM due to their long arms. Look up Dwight benching on youube. Very impressive considering how far the bar had to travel

Ummm is that really lebrons 40 time?? That 100 meter dash time isn't that great either but that 40 time is ridiculous.. I'd like to see him run that haha

315 isnt really a ton of weight for someone who weighs 260+. 315 is impressive for someone who weighs 155 or whatever boykins weighed

I think you are off base. Bench Press is in no way related to athleticism or really even much functional strength. Most basketball players are and were natural ectomorphs with long arms. That's the worst body type for benching.

Jordan's max was only 265 and that was after he decided to bulk up during the mid 90s for baseball and he lost explosiveness after lifting.

Short is answer is who gives a shitt? Long answer is probably someone with short arms. Probably an older guy since bench press goes up with age if you work at it for many years. Also, it probably would a relatively unknown player.

by body weight percentage, that's not impressive at all.
if you're not benching at least 1.5-2x body weight, you're not elite.
