Post-Game Interview/Article: http://www.foxsports.com/southwest/story/nowitzki-moves-past-olajuwon-as-mavs-rally-past-kings-111214

Didn't find a thread about this, and I've been under a rock all week so just now watching game highlights. This might've gotten moved to Mavs forum, or might get moved, but I think this is a fit discussion for the main one since he's now also the top scoring foreign player.

Nice feat by Dirk. We all know that shot is pure. Nice thoughtful post-game interview with Dirk, talking about how he improved his game from just being a pick 'n pop shooter, crediting Avery Johnson and how he felt the responsibility to expand his game to the post/free throw line/defense/activity once he became a franchise player, and what some future Dirk should work on: The Dream Shake or the One-Footed Fadeaway.

Also, a funny closing comment by him about how his wife was probably asleep when he got home to tell her the news. 'Hey, baby, I'm #9 now on the all-time scoring list' | Zzz... such is life in the NBA, I s'pose.

What a comeback by the Mavericks, too. Dunno what happened to the Kings after that 40-20 start. Normally it's Dallas letting the other team come back and win, but not that night.

Are you a fan of Dirk? I've always liked that pure jumpshot and how he somehow drains seemingly impossible shots, but then you realize he's got the height to just shoot over people after a second's consideration and splash! I still remember him upsetting the Miami Heat, nailing crucial shots in the final minutes to seal the championship.
