Go for it, but a team full of rookies probably won't be very competitive either.

This one took me a while, because I knew I had the starting five I wanted, but I realized early on that there are very few quality players in the league that make less than $1 million this year, and I needed my entire bench to be that cheap. Still, I think this roster has literally everything and does literally everything extremely well. I do wish I had a few more veterans, but veterans are really hard to come by cheaply.

Lebron makes like $20 million a year. You'd have to have a roster of 11 other players that makes less than $10 million total this season. Trust me as someone who just had to find seven guys who make $1 million or less per year that it isn't easy. And a roster of players of that low caliber would absolutely not be a legitimate contender even with Lebron leading them.

No way in hell that roster beats the one I just created.

Still though you get Lebron you get discount on everything so it would still be worth it. No other star except maybe Durant gives you that type of discount.

Look what Cleveland is kinda going though with Lebron and two other MAX players. Imagine Lebron with a bunch of scrubs/ vet min players. Not worth it. I don't care if you were even Jordan or kobe, players need help.

I'd have to disagree. I think it'd be closer to 55-63, 1st or 2nd in offensive rating, top ten in defensive rating.

 I didn't even see this roster before I posted mine. We have the exact same starters and three of the same bench players. Great minds think alike sir.
haha nice

I was also a fan on the idea of subbing out Dirk, and spending his 8M on Drummond, then filling in the bench with a Jimmy Butler and Nerlens Noel. who I think would both be great in reserve roles on this team. it's the defense heavy version of our team.

Drummond/Gobert
Davis/Noel/
Kwahi/Giannis
Klay/Butler
Lillard/Beverly

that team would probably be top ten in offensive rating, and the best defensive team in the NBA. basically- Raptors team. that's a really good team too.

I mean that team is basically Dallas on steroids. Dallas won 49 games last year without Chandler&Chandler. and that team is just a better version of what dallas has now IMO. cool thread.

Should be without rookie contract players or else it isn't much of a challenge to build a competitive team

Building a contender for $30 million without any rookie contracts would be damn near impossible.

Probably the best team. Klay, Kawhi, Anthony Davis are the only must haves. Damian Lillard is a phenomenal choice. I personally had a tough time with the other big. I wanted Marc Gasol but he was too expensive and Dirk makes the interior defense highly questionable and puts AD at center which I didnt want.
