Was just thinking about how many quality players the Knicks have let go that are doing well elsewhere. Wanted to see what other teams looked like... and don't include players that never actually played a game for your team. i.e drafted players that were traded immediately...etc..

I'll start with the Knicks... I might be missing a few... but...

Lin
Wilson Chandler
Tyson
Gallo
Lee
Z-bo
Crawford
Frye
Ariza
Mosgov

Do the players playing else where still need to be playing at a high level?

yea at least be decent, i mean don't just list any scrub that was on your team on one point...lol

guys that have significant roles elsewhere

I know was more so getting at they were good with you then left and sucked. Ex. I know Baron davis isn't still active but with the Warriors he was a top PG in the league after he left he svcked. Would you include him if still active or no because he's considered a scrub now?

Lakers

Dwight Howard

Trevor ariza

Pau gasol

Gerald green (he wouldn't qualify under the OPs rules but most don't know he was technically a laker for a bit.. He wasn't drafted by lakers but they did sign him to a contract in 2011 and cut him before he actually played for them)

Chris Paul (ok I won't bring that up.. Haha sorry.. :/ )

Another example is the Suns and Nash. If they listed him would he be looked at as the great PG from his Suns days or what he is now with the lakers... Half dead.

Pacers - Lance Stephenson obviously. But also Darren Collison (SAC), Tyler Hansbrough (TOR), DJ Augustin (TOR), Mike Dunleavy (CHI), Josh McRoberts (MIA), Shawne Williams (MIA), and Miles Plumlee (PHX) are all rotation players. Gerald Green (PHX) and Jeff Pendergraph (Ayres) (SAS) occasionally put up good games. Still hoping Brandon Rush makes a comeback.

Edit: And Rasual Butler (WAS) who torched us in the last meeting.

wouldn't include those guys...

Like Landry Fields was pretty decent with NY but he's been trash for TOR... so I didn't include him. Copeland is also doing well in IND... Shawne Williams is another.

HOU has let a lot of good players go too...

not much there tho we've been bad for a while and have finally turned the corner with the most talented roster we've had in ages.

It's crazy how much Jack and Landry have fallen off since leaving the Warriors, especially Jack.

Landry, Stephen Jackson, Jarret Jack.

Jack has fallen off, he averaged 12.9 and 5.6 on 45% with the Dubs, then went on to average 9.5 and 4 on 41% with Cleveland.

Jackson is and always was garbage.

Zach Randolph

The Rockets best former starting five would probably look something like this:
PG: Kyle Lowry
SG: Goran Dragic
SF: Chandler Parsons
PF: Luis Scola
C: Omer Asik

That would actually be a pretty damn good starting five. In the East, that's probably a top 3 seed.

Landry is starting to bounce back but it's a small sample. Jack yea he just doesn't look the same. But I probably should have included them.

Landry, Stephen Jackson, Jarret Jack.

Jackson isn't on a roster anymore is he? He got cut by the Spurs last year but I don't remember him signing elsewhere. I should have included the others even tho they're struggling. Well Landry was hurt mostly so small sample for now.

Wow we really suck in producing talent...I guess you can add Budinger, but apparently we only drafted him for the Rockets and wouldn't have drafted him otherwise

Damn. It is a good thing you guys are good or else people would be lining up with pitchforks against Morey.

Raps:

Bosh (best player right now)
Vince (worst loss at the time)

Biggest addition by subtraction but now performing well:
Rudy Gay

Such an interesting trade because it has actually benefitted both teams. Imagine if Sactown and Toronto make the playoffs this year. That trade could be considered to be the catalyst to get two teams out of the lottery.

cause Morey knows when their rookie deal is coming up for a re-sign, if they aren't a core piece, flip them and draft their replacement....

easy to do if you can draft well, which he generally does.

Best ex-Celtic right now is probably Al Jefferson then you got Johnson, Pierce, Tony Allen, and KG obviously. Also have Nate and Perkins too.
