The Cavs have some serious issues on defense.

Cavs defense is bad

When the playoffs arrive, the Cavs have to play defense. Otherwise they're toast.

Amare is disgusting on D.

Did people actually think the knicks would make the playoffs? they're barely going to win 30 games.
Theyre currently the 2nd worst team in the east in front of philly.

So many excuses each year but let's be honest, a healthy calderon wont help that much. you have a healthy melo and are still playing so bad, what good would a healthy calderson or primo pasta do?

Orlando, Boston, Milwaukee, Detroit > knicks.

Pau Gasol is as good as advertised. Double double machine.

Melo is their only good piece, when most of their other money is given to two washed up played like Amare and JR Smith you are in deep trouble. I don't even know who Knicks second best player is they might not even have one. Other things that hurt their chance at winning is a rookie head coach. They are currently built like a lotto team. I don't know if they are trying to win and make the playoffs if they are they aren't constructed like it.
Only pieces I like on Knicks are Melo, Hardaway and Prigioni who is like 40. When you have someone like Wear on your team you aren't in position to succeed.

Are the Spurs a lock for the playoffs? I haven't been this unimpressed with them since like 2010.

The West is crazy good and they have been pretty disappointing this season.

I've been disappointed with the spurs so far too, but how has the west been disappointing?

BTW, cant believe Diaw was able to snatch up that Alley oop attempt haha.

dude, they are 5 games in. and have injury issues that has effected their rotation early on.

not to mention the typical championship hangover we see from defending champs. they will be in the playoffs. like I always say, as long as they are healthy and clicking after the all star break, they'll be a threat.

Spurs have done this before and this time they aren't all in their primes. They win a championship and look weaker the next year.

Gotta factor Splitter out, Belinelli out, Mills out, and Leonard is still recovering from the eye infection. He didn't play competitive ball all summer, missed all of pre-season . So he is still finding his groove. I also think the finals are so fresh in folks minds they expected them to come out guns blazing but let's face it, like Pop says, they're human lol

I mean, they also have been to the WCF/Finals/Finals the last 3 years (since Kawhi came aboard)

They weren't all in their primes the past 3 years either, so it's a little different than years when TD was in his prime. They're built differently, and they usually aren't clicking on all cylinders till after the all star break.

Way too early to be concerned IMO. I remember last year people made a huge fuss that the Spurs couldn't beat "elite" teams early due to their losing record, and in the end it meant nothing.

That rule should NOT exist if you don't have a timeout you shouldn't be able to get one period. Not even if a technical is given.

True, I'm just so used to the spurs having other players step in and do just as good as the injured/resting players haha.

Pathetic loss for the Clippers obviously. However they have looked like a team that compete for a championship during times in the last 6 quarters. That is actually a big improvement so I guess I'm happy?

What the heck is going on with the Clippers though? Are the losses of Alvin Gentry and Jared Dudley really causing this big of a hit?

They added Hawes as a stretch 4 and I thought that's gonna make them so much better.

LAC has too much talent to be playing like this.

Are the Spurs a lock for the playoffs?.

There's 2 things that you can sure of in life.

1. The sun will rise in the East.

2. The Spurs will make playoffs.

Honestly I've seen that mistake made sooo many times. The Pelicans have such a horrible name people seem to want to forget they exist
