Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons are working on finalizing a trade of Joel Anthony for Will Bynum.

The Celtics appear to be making the move with roster flexibility in mind. The Celtics have 16 fully guaranteed contracts on their books and must trim that down to 15 before the start of the regular season.

If the Celtics ultimately elect to waive Bynum, the $900,000 savings from the trade would give them additional flexibility with the goal of staying under the tax line this season..

A playoff team should snag Bynum if he is wavied. He can get hot and score.

If he scores 15 he's giving up 30.

Will's spot is in Europe where he can lead a team in USG%. That's the only time in which he is effective, but it didn't translate to wins in the NBA. He dominates the ball (lead our team in USG% in 20 MPG), has no 3 point shot, and is really inconsistent.

Wow, I had no Idea his usage was that high. And defense that suspect, yea international ball could work for him. China wants all NBA ex players.
