The Players Tribune is a sports media site founded by Derek Jeter where the athletes themselves are the editors in chief. Seriously. And Blake Griffin was just announced as the newest in the fold (alongside Russell Wilson and Danicka Patrick), writing a behind the scenes look at Sterling and the fiasco that unfolded. The story he opens with actually reads like a parody due to Sterling being so out of touch with reality, but I fact checked and this is all legit. And amazing. I can't wait to read some more of these pieces.

I've never heard of this site before... and that was a REALLY good read.

“Some people are so poor, all they have is their money.”

Nice way to finish it.

I can't wait to see more of this.

Nice article, let Griffin be a sport columnist,he would be obviously better than 90% of actual sport columnists.

Haha I was thinking the same thing on Baron. I'm like BD 87%?? But, if you look at it he never shot below 75% for the Clips and was shooting 82% in Blake's first year there. Just hilarious/insane that Sterling flat out heckled his own player in public. That story wasn't new, though.

That fear-of-God look coupled with the drop of the shades is ****ing priceless. TY

The still of that moment should've been the articles headline photo instead.

Almost thought it was an accident at first. That's muscle memory to be able to do it that seamlessly... when you're pro you're pro.

Just read the article. I had heard about Jeter's site for a while now. It's an amazing idea that is going to change sports journalism. I'm not sure if Blake's article was the first or the best so far. Either way that is not insight you can ever get from a writer. I can't wait to read more!

Haha, first of all I have liked Chronz for as long as I can remember on here. Second of all I love watching the Clips and don't "hate" them a bit unless we're playing them. Third of all (looking at your next post), yep it's a GREAT site concept. Jeter's definitely one of the players with enough pull to pull it off, too.
