During the Dallas Cowboy's poor display of Defense in their season opener vs the 49ers, Ty Lawson posted this image to his Instagram with the caption, “Cowboys defensive coordinator", and it goes viral.

Dallas defense didn't actually play that bad. Tony Romo looked like a shell of his former self and lacked the arm strength to throw a decent fade. How do you expect to do any better than an 11 point loss with a 4/0 TO differential.

I am borderline getting sick of Rockets fans who actually stick up for his defense. I lived in Houston for 19 years, until just a couple months ago. Watching Rox games with my friends, all native Houstonians, they yelled at him at least 5 times a game for not having a ****ing clue where his man was.

I get the pack mentality, but guys, he is the worst defender of any superstar in the league, easily.

I lived in Houston for 19 years. All my friends were huge Rockets fans. Every one of them. Either at the game, or watching it on tv. They *****ed multiple times a game that Harden was sitting there watching the basketball like a pair of **** and lost his man.

Websites become pack mentality. I guarantee if I were to go into the GTs from last year, the same thing was being said. And there is nothing wrong with that, you should defend your guy to people who never watch them. But dude, I watched 50 Rox games the last 2 seasons. I know how bad he can be.

Dude, I TOTALLY get why you just skip over all that crap. I would too as a diehard Rox fan. Most of it is so overblown. We get it, Harden is not a good defender. He more than makes up for it on the other end. Is he LeBron or KD? No. But almost nobody in history is, who cares...

Don't get me wrong, I would gladly take him and he's a legit NBA starter. This is just random. I know Harden's lack of defense is the flavor of the month for the NBA off-season, but I would hope there's more to this story.

Fixed it since I do make mistakes and I do care about grammar - I assume auto corrected by my phone. And I am not calling Lawson that for misspelling, he is a moron because of how insecure he is about himself, and a lot of athletes are. Their first come back is, well how many millions did you make? And maybe he is a great person and does a ton of charity work - I don't know, but than something about how "how much money did you donate" would have been a much better comeback.

How do you know? Do you know him? Do you consider every person who makes grammar errors a moron? Didn't you made a single one recently?

The spelling burn was awful, and if the point guard position was as weak as the starting shooting guard he may of got an invite. haha

Who is the Nuggets starting shooting guard

... HAHAHAHAHA I literally just laughed out loud at how pathetic this entire post was. How petty can you be, just some of the most insecure **** I've ever read.

I mean you just couldn't stay out of this one could you and be man about it ? (but seeing as what you value in life it is far from surprising.)

But yeah I mean congrats on the great arena and having 2 'skilled' players! Oh and for needing a sleepnumber bed I guess.

(You could have at least thrown cuddle with my girlfriend and dog or something if you are gonna be a braggart ) ((but then again you're getting off to cheerleaders on a TV screen so I'm not surprised there either))

Go steal another 20 bucks from your moms purse ... go down to the corner store and stock up on mt dew Baja blast, pick up a few more slim jims and get back to me when your life means more than trying to talk down to people on a message board. LOL

your clown *** talks about being mad and insecure yet im the antithesis of that. I'm not the one who goes out of his way to troll a certain fan base. Don't worry there will be another Hate Houston thread popping up in the next day or two to bring you happiness. CLOWN! LOL

The picture and tweet were funny for about 15 seconds. It was witty and amusing.

The responses he made to people, after they commented on it, just made the original joke less funny. Anytime you come back at someone, as a professional athlete, with something having to do with "Oh yeah, I have a lot more money than you" makes that athlete look like a piece of ****. Appreciate that you get paid millions to play a game. Don't throw it in someone's face as a comeback that has nothing to do with money. Lawson just made himself look like a complete ***-hat. He should have left it at the original joke and not responded to the comments.

Aside from that, Lawson really has no room to talk about another player's defense. (I am assuming he is friends with Harden and was just poking fun at him like they would do playing pick up ball. If not, he really should go watch some of his own game tape.)

On another note:

This whole thing going on in every thread talking about how sensitive Rockets fans are is getting ridiculous. I have not read through the other threads, and they may very well be sensitive, but in this thread, there weren't any Rockets fans being overly sensitive, or saying anything that a fan of another fan base would not have said about their team's players in the same situation. Comb through any thread in the NBA forum that involves making fun of or knocking a team or player, and you will find fans of that team/player being "sensitive". Get over yourselves, seriously. Or just, you know, ignore the Rockets fans that are being sensitive. I think, at this point, the people calling out "sensitive Rockets fans" are being more sensitive than the "sensitive Rockets fans".

So you think the spelling burn was awful but you can't differentiate between "of" and "have." Where the f do some of you people go to school? Sorry to single you out, but half of the people here don't know proper grammar. I mean I make mistakes, and I misspell thins sometimes, but this is way worse than "then" vs "than."
I am in college write now and actually in line too go two graduate school.

P.S. I got an 18 on my English portion on the ACT so I am not good at English.

In all seriousness though, I'm about to get a bachelors in science, and then possibly grad. school to obtain a Ph.D. I mean you are right though, spelling on a sports forum determines that I have no education though.

I honestly can't tell if this sentence is serious or if you're trolling. Is English not your first language? If so, I could completely understand how you could make mistakes like this. But if English is your first language, how could you possibly get three homonyms completely wrong in the same sentence? I mean, that's some pretty junior high level English stuff that you're butchering here.

In junior high they always told you to read everything, right?

I wasn't trolling by any means. He made a joke about how he spells words wrong and I quote "misspell thins" so I made a joke back. I followed it up with "In all seriousness though..."

Instead of attacking my opinion on the subject he attacked spelling. The same dude that probably grounds his kids for not using the right punctuation in texts and doesn't let them go out on weekends for using acronyms. It's a sports forum, not an English class.

On topic, the Lawson joke was funny, Houston fans overreacted to it. In the future don't make fun of any Houston players because many of them don't find the humor in the situation. That is all.

To me, it's not the joke itself. When I first saw it, I actually thought it was funny. It's the fact that the whole "James Harden sucks at defense" bit has gotten really, really old on PSD this offseason. We have had literally probably half a dozen different threads attacking the guy's defense. Most of them were unwarranted or unnecessary. This would have been funny if this were the first time we'd heard the joke, but have you ever heard someone tell a joke or a story that annoys you so many times that you just want them to shut the **** up? That's kind of how Rockets fans feel at this point. It got old about two months ago.

Its actually not just PSD its everywhere. Around the horn, pti, sportsnation, nbatv, realg.m., Yahoo sports, NBA.com blogs, etc, etc. Literally everyone touches base on these hilarious videos, its not just PSD... No one on PSD makes these videos as well. So...idk why ur acting so victimized by PSD.

Oh Ty Lawson is also an NBA player, not a PSD poster (that we know of)

Just to clarify

Just to clarify, I don't see Ty Lawson, NBA analysts or journalists making two separate troll threads about James Harden on PSD in the same day. I see you and the same other handful of trolls doing it. I'm not knocking someone for making a thread when its thread worthy. This was thread worthy. Some of the other threads have been thread worthy when there's a time element to them. But probably more than half of the threads haven't been.
