He averaged 17pts and 8 assist, was arguably a top 5 PG and might climb the ladder. He's coming of his best season and got a contract extension. Can he win a ring in Toronto?

Lol is this some kinda retaliation to Raptors fans for that "Can Carmelo win a ring" thread

No Melo can't win a ring unless he changes his game.

But this is a real question. The Raptors have a good young core and Lowry is the lead man

If Ross and Val take a big step and demar takes a small step forward they can. But I don't trust Lowry tbh, he got a big contract let's see him live up to it.

Kyle Lowry is not winning a ring in Toronto. There core in their prime wouldn't be enough for a Kyrie/LeBron/Love core. Not to mention the Raptors wouldn't be able to beat any playoff team in the Western Conference.

Not with lebron there

when he was playing his best last season, ya for sure, he was a top 5 PG, talking in generalities

but overall, still top 10 for the entire season of last year,

On the one hand you may be right, but i this contract turns out to be a bust, he's not going to earn much in his next contract. This and the next contract will determine the most of his money he makes in his career.

Lowry will be turning around 32 by the time his 4 year contract expires. If he hasn't lived up to his billing and put his issues behind him, who's going to fork over the dough when he's on the wrong end of 30 with whatever issues that made him not earn the 4 year contract.

Imo, money should be driving him to produce now so he can earn 1 more big payday at age 32.

I understand why exactly you're doing this.... It's not our whole fanbase's fault that we have one guy who is fanatically (and possibly sexually) obsessed with the Knicks.

So PSD, what's the over/under rate on Knicks/Raptor fans banned this season? I wanna know for betting purposes lol

I thought he was a Knicks fan honestly :laugh2: you're good ppls bro as most raptor fans are,
but they are 2 or 3 that are delusional, maybe not as many as Knicks fans but yeah.

I can see 3 Knicks fans being banned and 2 raptor fans lol. But you do realize we created a rivalry between the Knicks and the Raptors on PSD they ain't even know it lmao

The only way Lowry wins a ring in TO is if the Raptors get Durant.

How many threads of "Can Player X win a ring?" do we actually need? The answer is always going to be "yes." I don't care if the thread is focused on Brian Scalabrine. ANY professional basketball player can win a ****ing championship. You know who has more rings than Charles Barkley, Elgin Baylor, Kevin Durant, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Patrick Ewing, Chris Paul, Chris Webber, Dominique Wilkins and George Gervin combined? Dexter ****ing Pittman.

Lowry is an option 2a or 2b on a championship team to me. Im not saying he's not a great player but these teams like the Clips/Spurs/Heat/Cavs/OKC have so many weapons

Unfortunately, he needs a team to win a ring. Sure, he accomplished some great things, but his team is not a contender. And he is not the kind of out-of-this-world talent that can do it on his own. Heck, there are plenty of superstars (and I don't count Lowry as one) that can't do it on their own.
