Can you remember season by season who won, who lost, series result, coaches, mvp, etc..

and if you can, what year can you go back to?

well, the more that goes in, the less details you remember. I can probably list the main stuff from 1981 on..

My memory is basically crap. I have to look up stuff on the daily. I find it odd how people are able to remember a guys per from like 2002. I wish I could do that.

My memory is odd, I can remember most things from 2000, but for some reason, I can barely remember the 2001-2002 season :laugh2:

So from pretty much the 99-00 season until now

What I can remember from each season without any help or looking anything up:
2013-14 - Pretty much everything.... Spurs over Heat for championship, Leonard Finals MVP, Durant MVP, Noah DPOY
2012-13 - Pretty much everything...Heat over Spurs, Lebron Finals MVP, Lebron MVP, Gasol DPOY
2011-12 - Heat over Thunder for championship, Lebron Finals MVP, Lebron MVP
2010-11 - Mavs over Heat, Dirk Finals MVP, Derrick Rose MVP
2009-10 - Lakers over Magic, Kobe Finals MVP, Lebron MVP
2008-09 - Lakers over Celtics, Kobe Finals MVP, MVP????
2007-08 - Celtics over Lakers, Pierce Finals MVP, Kobe MVP
2006-07 - Spurs over Cavs, Parker Finals MVP (I think), MVP???
2005-06 - Heat over Mavs, Wade Finals MVP
2004-05 - Spurs over Nets (I think)
2003-04 - Pistons over Lakers
2002-03 - Spurs
2001-02 - Lakers
2000-01 - Lakers
1999-00 - Lakers
1998-99 - Spurs over Knicks in lockout shortened season
1997-98 - Bulls over Jazz, Jordan Finals MVP
1996-97 - Bulls over Jazz, Jordan Finals MVP
1995-96 - Bulls over Sonics, Jordan Finals MVP
1994-95 - Rockets over Magic, Hakeem Finals MVP, David Robinson MVP
1993-94 - Rockets over Knicks, Hakeem Finals MVP, Hakeem MVP

I know other things before that, but that 94 season was my first to care about the NBA. And I know other things, but I couldn't tell you exactly what years and when they happened. I know Dirk and KG each won an MVP and Nash won two (although he shouldn't have any). Obviously Duncan and Shaq won some in that stretch, but I can't remember which years. I remember the Lakers faced the Nets and Iverson's 76ers in the Finals, but I can't remember which years and I remember the Pistons and Spurs facing off in the Finals, but I can't remember which years. I know Ben Wallace won four DPOY awards and Dwight won at least 2-3, but I don't remember those years either.

My memory is terrible for most stuff outside of Warriors. Even then it doesn't go back too far, not consistently anyway, I might remember a few really old things then nothing in between and some more recent stuff lol.

I've always had a bad memory. I often get actors confused and stuff as well. For years I was mistaking Mark Wahlberg for Matt Damon.

All winners from the 60s till today (due to reading about them) and various unimportant details I remember for some odd reason.

I also remember some random RS season scores from the 90s. Safe to say I remember more (scores, conference/division standings, playoffs etc from the 90s than the late 2000s.

I have to say it tends to be the unimportant stuff I remember.

My memory isn't terribly great in all honesty. I have some early memories in elementary school mostly surrounding Shaq and Kobe. I had a German pen pal in 3rd grade who was a Kobe fan, and at the time I was too. I used to sit on the floor when the Lakers were on NBA on NBC and keep box scores myself. I really liked Shaq (my first favorite player with the Magic) and they were on TV all the time so I gravitated towards them. My vivid Magic memories mostly start the summer that T-Mac and Grant showed up. I had been to numerous Magic games but that was when I really started to follow them a lot on my own. I remember Jordan's last Finals run. I remember Jordan's return to the Wizards (I was in a hotel in Boston). But it's kinda spotty. But middle school is when I started really following the Magic, so around 2001. Got my T-Mac 2s in 2002 and that's when the obsession with him took off.

I too can name most champions by year and Finals MVP. Trivia like that I'm solid with. The eras are pretty distinct and well-separated in my mind. But the actual memories I have are often kinda cloudy. I'd say basketball became my favorite sport shortly after I joined this site. I originally just joined for the Sox forum. Oh how times have changed. From then on my memory is very strong...before then it's a crap shoot.

The first game I saw was the Celts vs the Royals in the Fall of 1965.

I've got 1965-66 thru 1975 down real well
1975-1979 - college (playing hoops, rugby, girls, booze - not in that order)
then 1980-1994 strong again
1995-2001 - kids childhood years
2002-now - strong again

I wish I could have seen some of those teams play.
