Could have sworn somebody already posted this. Can't see the thread though.

In short, we traded Kyle Korver for a copy machine. Goes to show how bad some franchises are.

Great story with him in Philly with their new offense...

In the team’s very first practice, Allen Iverson ran a two-on-one fast break with Korver filling the wing. Iverson dished to Korver behind the 3-point arc. Korver took two dribbles, nailed a 17-footer, and waited for the applause.

O’Brien was livid. He screamed for Korver to look down at the 3-point line. O’Brien told him that if Korver ever passed up another open 3-pointer, he would remove him from the game. Korver remembers one thought flying through his head during O’Brien’s tirade: This is awesome.

LOL, Korver does torch you if you don't guard his punk *** on video games, but he's just a specialist from 3.

The GM they have now is the one that made that deal for Korver. Nice try though.

And there you have it. Anyone ever question why the Nets moved to BK can just read that story. They needed to sell players to get into the league (Dr. J) and needed to sell good players to stay in it (Korver).

Don't have those issues anymore.

Exactly
Any problem with the Nets now, is bad decision making in personnel , not financial.
This was over 10 years ago, different Owner, different GM, different arena, different State

Must have been a sweet copy machine if they spent 6 figures on it, though.

I am surprised that they didn't attach a first rounder to him.
