Utah has informed Charlotte that the four-year, $63 million offer sheet for Gordon Hayward has been matched, league source tells Yahoo.



The Jazz sent Hornets notification this morning, source tells Yahoo Sports. Hayward will sign a four-year, $63M deal with Jazz today.

well utah let al jefferson go there- cant get too greedy- but hornets are better off saving a max contract for a guy who has atleast made an all star team

I don't see him play alot but is he the second coming of Bird or something? He's making over 15 million per season!

He's a slightly above average player at best.

Some of the contracts handed out this off season are mind boggling.

ON a good team, he is a very nice role player. Definitely a guy fans like to see do well- but I honestly thought he was worth closer to the midlevel exception than a max contract. Maybe a team would go crazy and give him 7-8 million a year- but 15 is insane. The guy will never be a top 20 player IMO
