RT @AllSportsChat: Report: Lakers, Bulls, and Mavericks are interested in signing Chandler Parsons.

Saw another report that Minny was also interested ; I wanted him over Melo for money and youth reasons . So here's me rooting for him to go to Hou , I know they will prob match because Morey is like that but I would do a Taj and Sac pick for Parsons anyday .

Bev
Harden
Melo
Taj
Howard

Talk about offensive and defensive balance

I've been saying all along that the Mavs should go after Parsons.

Not a chance I'm giving taj up for parsons. Not a chance. There's no way rockets roster looks like that next season

I'm kinda shocked that us (Toronto) aren't getting in on that. I mean, Parsons is a decent defensive SF who can keep the flow of the offense going, and hit shots at a fairly high clip, including from the 3 point line. As we have Derozan, a SG who can't really hit 3s, I think he would go really well in our young line-up.

Lowry/Vasquez (If we can Re-Sign both)
Derozan/Ross
Parsons/Ross
Amir/Patterson
JV/Hayes

Wouldn't say not a Chance , If Melo choses Hou would the Rockets actually pay parsons over 10 million per to come off the bench or to get cheaper value back ? Bulls would look to do a S&T for him to get the MLE and Bi . Taj can be replaceable and Mirotic would be coming over next season anyway .

Parsons is getting sleep on. I expect near 10mil or more

Parsons will definitely get paid which will result with him remaining in Houston. Unless of course they manage to have an actual chance of landing Melo or Lebron, that's about the only scenario I see where Parsons doesn't end up in Houston.

Teams gonna throw big money at Houston to get them out of the melo, lbj sweepstakes. And if they linger too much, parsons gonna get pissed

Yes if they get Melo I don't see any way they bring back Parsons. Likely they will sign and trade him however I also would not be surprised if they just let him walk (if they sign Melo).

Only way I see him leaving Houston, is if some GM gives him the max.. and a S&T would prob be involved

He's going to Miami.

I'll just say this;

If Parsons gets a near max from another team, signs with them and the Rockets don't match while Lebron and Melo sign together with the Heat, that Rockets GM will go from a "boss" or "genius" to an idiot for giving up Asik for practically nothing.

Haha! Yea I heard that Parsons, Melo, Gortat, Dirk, Pau, and Lowry all met with Labron, Wade, and Bosh about joining the Heat. Apparently they are all going o sign for the minimum so that Miami can win the next 10 titles I'm a row. Its pretty much a done deal.

Also heard that Poo, Carlisle, and Jason Kidd all want to join the Heat too. they all want to sit on the bench and learn from Spolstra.

Considering Asik is a UFA next season and was 100% going to leave the Rockets anyways I don't think getting a top-3 protected first from a young team that won 34 games last year was all that bad. Pelicans will be better but it's not likely that they will make the playoffs in that conference either, so talking a mid teen pick at worst. I think that works out for the Rockets either way.

Rox only made him a rfa so we could go after big fish and then re-sign parsons as we have bird rights.

Our owner has been on record to be willing to go over cap.

Mavs, lakers, and bulls can suck it.

Parsons would be best as a system player and not a significant role IMO.. I like the guy a lot and how he's crafty and smart but he's pretty darn slow and i can't see him doing well without the right situation. Do not overpay him mavs...although Marion is so done

Yes I'm very distraught about not getting to lose the next round in 5.

Pretty much this.

Not worth more than 5-6 per IMO

I couldn't possibly disagree with that number more.

He's worth 8.5+ EASILY IMO. I expect offers of 12 per.

If Melo is concerned with winning rather than money, Houston in my opinion is the only viable, as well as relatively safe, option. I say that because Chicago's D-Rose remaining healthy is a serious concern.

As a Knicks fan, if Melo decides to go to Houston maybe we could do a double sign and trade involving Parsons. If such a thing is even possible.

8.5 is steep for a role player but there will be lucrative offers no doubt.

I agree with Corey... sort of

I value him between 8-9 mil per... just a hair under 10. He has buyers remorse written all over him though in this market.

It's tough because he's worthy of getting paid it's just that he's a RFA messing up everything leading to teams overpaying to pry him away . He's def worth 9-10 mill tho
