So damn weird. I was just looking over some of the new draftees on and I was surprised at mcdermotts vert. Come to psd and there's a thread on it lol. Crazy, is that what everyone does at 230am? Research players online? Lol

Joe Alexander 2.0?

I don't think Joe Alexander can score like McDermott

His primary selling point was that he could speak Chinese.

36.5 isnt that high... thats about average for an nba player.

Ya nothing outside of the 40s can even think about being called "insanely high" in todays nba

If what was meant is surprisingly high considering the overall talk about his lack of athleticism, thats more reasonable

My verts like 20 though so I cant talk :D

Joe Alexander 2.0?

Preposterous. Alexander got drafted merely because he was an athlete. McDeromott is insanely skilled AND an athlete.

insanely high? :laugh2:

I'm sure most people on here who've played high school sports know a few guys with that same ability.

ive never been to put much stock in combine verticals. blake griffin only had a 35.5 max vert when if anyone watches him he has crazy hops. Julius randle had a 35.5 max vert as well and I never watched him and was like he has the same jumping height has blake griffin.

Westbrook had 36.5 when he was drafted, I think he increased it greatly by now. And 36.5 vert is not that high for an NBA player anyway. For a big man thats a lot, but just for comparison Dwight has an 39 inch vertical.

Is not insanely high but let's be real its pretty high for a white guy and a surprising stat for someone expected to primarily be an unathletic one-dimensional jump shot shooter in the nba. I'm sure his vertical is significantly higher comparatively speaking than some of the other big time white guys scorers in college like Jimmer, Adam Morrison and JJ Reddick.

For comparison's sake, I'm seeing Adam Morrison's max vert at 30.5 and his no step vert at 25.5.

They are all insanely skilled... Until they face NBA talent. And scouts praised Alexander's 3pt shot and midrange game as well.

McDermott will be the best white player behind love and parsons

McBuckets is gonna be legit. Reminds me of Kyle Korver, except better rounded in many other aspects besides shooting.

Wiggins = 44 inch vertical & his quick 2nd jump is amazing

Not everyone of the top 14 picks is going to be a superstar. Maybe four of them tops. And none of them are going to be named Doug or Exum.

lol, no.

it's neither high nor insane when you're comparing him to professional basketball players; which is who he should be compared to.

Watch what this kid does for the Bulls next season. Drafting McBuckets and not getting Melo is probably the best thing for the Bulls. They are not hamstrung with another huge contract and it will give them more flexibility to add more players to their core.
