Maybe he's a little nervous. I get nervous making presentations in front of 20 other college kids. This guy is doing an interview for a bigger audience than that and everything he says is being read/seen by millions. I think as a general trend athletes should be more well spoken. I think it presents a good image to people who look up to them. But we also should understand that handling the media isn't easy. Public speaking is a fear many have and these guys have to do it to the extreme.

He must have learned ebonics from Lebrons PR guys, you know...Lebron usually ends his sentences with "man" even when talking with female reporters.

as someone a year older than him i would be scared shitless to be doing that interview. i don't think people realize how young these guys are.

He'll get it straightened out as the years go on, Rose was really really bad when he came up and is at least understandable now.

I know I'm weird but that's one of my pet peeves. I can't stand people who use "you know", "like","uh" and "um" in any sentence they have to use more than four words. . I always saw it as a lack of intelligence and being unable to articulate what they are trying to say.

Being articulate, especially in front of a large crowd with all eyes on you is a fairly rare skill.

I was just about to post the same thing!...like, uhh, you know? XD

I was lucky enough to be in many public speaking classes where I avoid this little annoyance a lot. Obviously I'm not perfect and neither is everybody of course but it's a lot better than years ago when I use to stutter like porky pig and constantly go "and, uhh".

We also have to remember as someone else said that these guys are still very young adults with some of them not even being 20 yet. As well as not being fully taught to be public speakers in the kind of environment they are in now. Even for me with all my training, public speaking can be one of the hardest things to do.

It's why I also respect basketball players like Kobe who speak with almost perfect articulation (especially for Kobe who didn't even go to college) and keep themselves well focused in any public environment they are surrounded in.

Na he's just shy, i was around the dude for two years in high school. He has a KD like personality when he first entered the league, hes the type of dude that wouldn't hurt a fly. Just leave the kid alone, not everybody are comfortable with public sneaking.

After he gets trained by a publicist he will start giving great interviews where he says next to nothing with a lot of words.
