So Utah takes Parker at #1 (who is a Mormon and would likely enjoy playing in Utah) and Cavs take Embiid or Exum at #5 and get Favors too....this draft has is going to be very interesting

Joel Embiidís foot injury has thrown the entire draft into chaos.

At one point, Embiid appeared likely to become the No. 1 pick. Now, thatís a real longshot.

So, what will the Cavaliers do? Draft Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker?

The Jazz offer another solution to Clevelandís conundrum.

Joe Kotoch of Pro Basketball Draft:
"Hearing the Cavs and Jazz have discussed a swap of picks. Jazz would move up to take Parker and Cavs would likely get Favors and 5."

This draft held a consensus top three players in Embiid, Wiggins and Parker. With his injury, Embiid probably no longer belongs in that top tier.

Either way, Cleveland would almost certainly be opting to select from the next tier of players, including Dante Exum and Noah Vonleh. That is a drop.

Favors would be a little redundant with Tristan Thompson, though Thompson doesnít justify keeping his prominent position in perpetuity. Just 22, Favors bring strong interior scoring and defensive tools.

However, Favors will begin his four-year, $48 million contract extension next season. On one hand, heís locked up. On the other hand, heís expensive. The Cavaliers can absorb that salary, but it would obviously limit future spending otherwise.

Thereís an old theory: Whichever team got the best player in a trade won the trade. I think itís a useful guide here.

The No. 5 pick and Favors are nice assets, but neither alone comes close to the value of the No. 1 pick.

In a sport where a single player can have such a huge impact, Iíd rather have either Wiggins or Parker than two solid Ė but lesser Ė pieces. http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/06/20/report-cavaliers-and-jazz-have-discussed-trading-no-1-pick-for-no-5-derrick-favors/

I dont watch many Jazz games so not sure on how good Favors is...Cavs need pieces though and if they get a good pick at 5 and another nice young player locked into a 4 yr deal they may have to do it
