I expect Miami to show up for the entire game for the first time all series. 100-86 victory over Indiana sounds about right. Bosh finally shows up tonight on the offensive end. I expect him to nail 2 threes as well.

Indiana better win this game if they want any chance at winning this series. If they lose, the series is over in 5 games. This Pacers team hasn't shown any life, outside of Lance Stephenson. No reason to believe they'd be the type of team to embrace a 3-1 hole against the Heat. I expect Miami to come out strong tonight and win the game. The Heat know how important rest is. They're going to try to end the series in 5.

This game has a "LeBron 35-12-8 night" written all over it. Indy's blood is in the water and Lance Stephenson did some trash talking. Miami wins comfortable 97-82.

If Lebron talks trash to Stephenson like last game and the Heat win, I expect Lance to say something like "Lebron is bullying me, he keeps saying mean things and I've always been against bullying, so it really hurts". Then he launches an anti-bullying campaign against Lebron which causes James to go into a downward spiral and Indy ends up winning 3 games in a row to win the series. After the series, Lance Stephenson aka 'Sir Lancelot' is inducted into the Illuminati for pulling off one of the greatest mind-****s of our generation.

It's a must-win for Miami IMO as well. Pacers bounce back in game 5 for sure. Down 3-2 to Pacers with another game at their home is not a good situation for Miami. If Paul steps up, Bosh has to step up.

This is absolutely a must win for the Pacers. The one thing they have going for them is they have played their absolute best basketball when their backs are against the wall. And at this point short of losing another game their backs can't be any more against the wall. They really should be up 2-1 at minimum in how much time they have spent with the lead. They simply have to be able to close out quarters if they expect to have a chance.

Chris Andersen will not play in Game 4 on Monday due to a thigh contusion.
He suffered the injury in Game 3 and this is a tough one for the Heat. Andersen has outplayed Roy Hibbert throughout this series and the Heat may have a tougher time protecting the paint. Udonis Haslem and Chris Bosh will have to step it up. Birdman should be considered questionable for Game 5.

http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/10987466

"MIAMI -- Key Miami Heat backup big man Chris Andersen is out for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals with a left thigh bruise.

In a related move, coach Erik Spoelstra promoted Rashard Lewis into the starting lineup at power forward against the Indiana Pacers.

Andersen suffered the injury in the first half of the Heat's Game 3 victory but continued to play, though he seemed to be limited. He's been battling several nagging injuries during the playoffs, including a right shin injury. Andersen also dealt with a foot injury during the regular season.

"He's a human bruise right now," Spoelstra said.

Andersen has been an important backup over the past two seasons and especially in this series, averaging 7.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in the first three games against Indiana. The Heat, already without much size, have activated little-used Greg Oden in case he is needed.

More likely the Heat will slide Udonis Haslem into Andersen's role as the first big man off the bench now that Lewis has been promoted to starter. Lewis was effective defensively off the bench in Game 3."

This is absolutely a blessing for the Pacers. He has been tremendous this series. Bosh has been awful. This is their best chance to even this series with him out. I mean Bosh has been so bad that I was upset when he kept picking up fouls being I wanted him on the floor.

Pacers still match up better against the Heat than any other EC team. And especially with Washington's inexperience, there's no way they do better against Miami than Indy does. They have the size. They have the guys to guard Lebron and Wade. The Heat are just a great team, and Indy's just a shade less than that.

Serious game changing moves there...

I genuinely loved the Scola trade at the time for Indy. Figured Green was damaged goods, Plumlee had a low ceiling and that pick would be of little value. I thought that bench desperately needed offensive help and if there's one thing Scola has always done it's offense. Definitely didn't work out. Still, their bench is better than it was last year...but it was impossible for it not to be. They arguably had the worst bench in the NBA last year (Portland)...this year it was close to average in terms of production.

Copeland disappointed too. Not sure why he didn't get more of a shot.

Bird:
LINK: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/birdla01.html
LeBron:
LINK: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesle01.html

Bird "only" had 11.5 great seasons (one year 6 games, one year 45).
LeBron's got 11 great seasons already.

In virtually every statistic LeBron has passed Bird (regular season and play-offs).

Career Playoffs: PER
LINK: http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/per_career_p.html
LeBron 3rd and inching up on Mikan and MJ; Bird 28th.

Career Playoff: Win Shares:
LINK: http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/ws_career_p.html
LeBron 5th and moving up fast/hard (could be 2nd behind MJ, if gets to & does well in Finals). Bird 12th

Overall:
Everything great that Bird did, LeBron does equal or better.
What I loved about Bird most was his TEAM-work. I've had him #3 All-Time (behind Magic & Stockton) for that.
But LeBron beats him there, perhaps more than anywhere else.

Net: I've got
Bird All-Time GOAT: 11-15;
LeBron All-Time GOAT: 5
(behind only KAY, Magic, MJ & Wilt)

Assuming two pretty reasonable things:
The LeBron gets at least one more Chip AND Plays 5 more Great Seasons,
I'll move him up about 1 spot per year. Heading towards GOAT #1.

N.B. MJ only had 11 Great Seasons (two years: played less than half the seaons, last 2 Wizards years =not great.

I'm not worried about the Heat as a team, just Bosh as an individual. I want to keep him engaged and get him envolved. I want him to be more of a focal point because its much easier for Wade and Bron to get theres playing off him, than it is for Bosh to get his playing off Wade and Bron as seen thus far. Keeping Bosh envolved will just make it so much easier for this team.

IKnowHoops

Yeah, but if you do that repeatedly, especially as a star, they are gonna call some questionable touch fouls once and awhile. I don't know, I still think that was more of a bail out call that should have counted as a missed field goal attempt. It was a poor shot attempt by James. You don't get bailed out for it, especially in a playoff game. Touch fouls are being called against Indiana, but not Miami.

Who's talking about free throw attempts or disparity?

I'm talking about Heat's trapping game and the turnovers they are causing. They're doing an exceptional job, but they're also getting away with A LOT of no calls on them, while guys like George Hill and Lance Stephenson are getting touch fouls called on them 20-25 feet away from the basket.

ManRam

Even in their wins, the Heat's lack of bench and the fact that they get nothing out of 2 of their starting positions really are glaringly obvious time and time again. I really think that's what's gonna doom them vs. OKC/SAS. OKC has the same issues with production from two starting spots, but starting Reggie might tame that and they have more depth, at least numbers wise. SAS doesn't have either of those two problems.

Both the bench and the starting PG/PF having poor games, per the usual. Spo really needs to go to an 8 man rotation at the most.

If only Indy was just a tad better offensively...they really match up so well aside from that lack of offense-in-a-hurry :sigh:

He does indeed. This team needs some toughness that goes beyond West.

They need to get rid of Watson, make George Hill the backup PG, and get a real starting PG who can penetrate and not wait until 6 seconds left on the shot clock to make a play.

Well...there's the difference between these two teams. One has that man, the other doesn't.

Indy's gonna need 12 minutes of Lock-Down D; PLUS HEAT go stone cold; PLUS Indy hits 70% of its shots. Ain't gonna happen; but that's the only way now. LBJ "being GOD" (Bird)
