They should go after Lionel Hollins!

Wow the Van Gundys sure are popular all of a sudden. They've got no coaching offers for the past several years and suddenly teams are ready to give them compete control of their franchises?

Stan was fired and didn't get back into coaching right away on purpose. And Jeff has ALWAYS been considered a good coach. It's more like he didn't want to come back. He enjoyed the tv gig and was popular among the fans.

But at this point, they're giving so much to these coaches this year, you gotta think about going in again.

Also, he's always wanted back with the Knicks (he's a knick a knick fan) though Dolan wouldn't offer him something after he "quit" on the team (though he quit mostly to screw Dolan...who deserves to be screwed).

I'd love this. It would be the biggest named head coach in Memphis since hubie brown and mike fratello

I hope he doesn't go. He's an awesome commentator!

Really like this guy, good commentator and was a good coach back in the day as well. Would be a good hire for Memphis.

I never really noticed that lol. JVG is the best coach out there without a job, I hope we get him

Maybe he will put Mark Jackson on his staff, it would be a good hire.

Wow

@daldridgetnt: Grizzlies owner Robert Pera reached out to Joerger Saturday night, & in conversations then & today convinced him he wanted to keep him.

Is it off base for me to say that this current Grizz team is competitive, but has 0 future?; Peaked 2 years ago and they are not reaching the WCF's again without some more wild luck. JVG or not, they need to rebuild.

They still got 1-3 years to make something happen. When healthy, nobody wants to play the grizz come postseason
