We would be very fortunate to win 2. Peavy is horrible right now, if his walks remain out of control Detroit will destroy him. Miggy just got red hot too after a slow start. It's a very tough series, those close losses to the Twins really hurt.

I would not be at all surprised if we get swept. Payback from ousting Detroit last postseason.

Kinsler & Miggy will tee off.

If what Remy just said about JBJ's strikeouts is true, that's awful.

Yea, that's a bad sign.

Should we trade for a stick or just spend the rest of the season rocking 2" penises?

Xander hit in the left hand/wrist area, staying in the game though. That would suck if he had to miss anytime.

Papi getting no protection.

As if Scherzer has nothing to do with it?

Napoli is 15th in the AL for WAR BTW, pretty nice protection.

I can't believe Kinsler's liner was a hit in the 1st. It was hit real hard, but had a true bounce almost right where WMB's glove was, and he actually got the glove on it. That's an error in my book.

It seemed to hit the top of his forearm/wrist junction at an angle that wouldn't indicate problems with the bones, just a thin bit of soft tissue/blood vessels in the area. it'll hurt and bruise, but he'll be fine.

Only fortunate thing to happen this season is no one in the division is playing great, many seasons we would already be 6 games back of the division right now. We can probably hang around .500 another couple months and still have a great shot at a wild card spot and a smaller one for the division. This is annoying to watch though. We really need 2 of Buchholz, Peavy, and Doubront to turn it around and pitch well.

Did anyone see that pick-off at 2B around the sixth inning? It's been some time since I saw a crazier throw... hola....

I missed most of the game and just saw a glimpse of the play in the morning on Sport Center. I really thought to myself that he was trying to hit the umpire.

The pitching on this team will be fine IMO.

Bringing in Kemp and Drew in the same week would really go a long way to helping this team take off. Would really solidify 2 positions and cost only $$$. Dempster's money is still available to make some serious additions before our record heads south.

Kemp at his full ticket wouldn't cost much in specs but if we want LAL to eat $10M a year, then we'll have to pony up a couple of arms/bats, and they won't suck either.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to use Andrew Miller & Peavy as bait in that deal, or just give them Webster back.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to use Andrew Miller & Peavy as bait in that deal, or just give them Webster back.

Miller is at one of his high water marks value wise - good time to deal. Or flip in a 3 way for a kid they want more.

I watched 90% of Peavy's pitches last night. He's either fatigued or hurt or just can't quite find the touch. Either of the first 2, good time to deal him too. Problem is - the money. Peavy could be part of a 3 way that nets LAD something they want.

I think they'd still want 1-2 more fairly high profile kids to hand over some real cash to cover Kemp on top of those two. Not currently clear enough on what LAD needs to suggest best fit. Could be PTBNL (WMB) perhaps or another arm.

So, Miller, WMB, minor leaguer for Peavy, (RDLR, Ranaudo, or Webster type) (our choice) for Kemp and $8-9M off per year. Kemp to play LF and CF this year, LF full time thereafter.

Once he settles in, we can start dealing off excess OF's which will not include JBJ. If they finally get him to settle into a shorter/contact swing, he should be a .260/.340 hitter - along with his GG caliber play in CF he's a key going forward, even if they can't fix his offense, he's a classic D replacement, 5th OF for cheap. Our OF will be set for a bit until SV finally breaks down or his deal is over, then we'll need a thunderous RF (bat, field, arm) to come in.

Disappointing to see us get swept but at least it's vs. Detroit and not a terrible team. Let's keep our heads on straight and get the series win vs. toronto.
