This is the game that had to reschedule the Lady Gaga concert for. The fans kept on calling of the "Virginia Wizards" and say they were going to put a curse on us. They didn't know the rules of professonal sports and they also said they don't care about Basketball. Now I want to make two fanbases unhappy tonight.

Come on that is nothing more than a bull **** excuse. You play the game the way the game is officiated. If the Wiz lose tonight it is because they couldn't adjust. And Beal and Wall are 4/14 for 9 points so far this is not on the officials.

Though I agree the calls are going Indy's way. That's not the only reason get are up. Wiz shooting near 40% while letting Indy shoot 59%. They gotta make them take tougher shots.

For about half of the second quarter I had it muted. So I didn't hear the crew say anything but could have been during that while getting my kids ready for bed. Though I have seen calls missed going both ways. Those calls though are not what are causing the Wizards outside of their bigs are shooting like garbage. They have 11 points off of 16 shots from Wall and Beal. That just isn't going to cut it. Again that isn't on the refs that is on the players on the court.

They are doing all the work though. Other than Miller being 2/3 for 4 points everyone else isn't shooting well. They have 19 of the 40 between them compared to just 11 for Wall and Beal.

This is also their first run at the playoffs. Even though they haven't always shown it this isn't the first rodeo for the Pacers. Their starting 5 has been through this before. Experience makes a difference when the team actually decides to play.

I know, however sometimes they try and force a shot that they can't make. They also wait till the last second to take. Move the ball around. I'm sure we could have gotten a few more points had they done that.

You are asking questions we have asked all season. How can look so good in one game and look like complete garbage in another.

edit.

Well not all season but much of the second half. And I really don't think it was a result of the trades or any of those other excuses. Think they simply haven't handled being the front runners well at all.

What the Wizards need to do this off-season
Sign a center- So either Monroe or Gortat. The Wizards want to re-siging Gortat. However if they can't, the Wizards were the most interested team in Monroe last trade deadline, and Monroe did go to Georgetown.
Sign a SF- The Wizards want to re-sign Ariza. If they can't it looks pretty bad. Looking down the List of SF:
James-going back to Miami
Deng-maybe but I imagine he will want alot
Hayward-Can't imagine Utah gives him up
Pierce-last year, wants to go to a winner
Gay-**** no!
So Ariza, Deng, Hayward, or you start grooming Porter.
Edit: Also from what i heard we like Jeff Green.

Pacers win this battle. Though the Wizards future looks really bright. They just need more experience. Their inexperience has really shown at points in this series.

They have experience: Nene, Gortat, Gooden, Miller, Ariza, Harrington are all seasoned vets. They need upgrades at some spots and to get younger at some spots. Wall also needs to work on his shot and needs to be a little bit more under control. It would also help if their lottery pick Otto Porter got his **** together.

Problem is even as a Pacer fan I am not sure I believe this. This team nobody knows which team is going to show up on any given night. Though they have played the Heat well all season. And they seem to be the only team they truly get up for. Think all of the rough patches they have gone through will be good for them in the long run though. They had to learn how to be the front runner with everyone gunning for them instead of the underdog.

The only good news I have for them is the Heat aren't really tested, they walked through the first 2 weeks. Who knows how far this series goes.

psd may explode before Sunday and Game 1.

If Indy wins, all heat fans will say it's rigged. If Miami wins, nba fans will say it's rigged.

I have seen a lot of Heat fans who think its going to be another quick trip. Though see this next series going at least 6. It is going to be fun that is for sure.

I just want a classic. And somewhat earned. Can we stop having to force NBA defenses to play shadow D against LeBron :laugh2:

What you mean you want Joey Crawford to stop swallowing his whistle every time Lebron barrels toward the basket?

Indy has been able to play more spread out against the Heat because Hibbert is always a threat under the basket. That being said, Lebron gave him some hard shots to the face and shoulder time they met so it'll be interesting to see if Hibbert still wants to be there when Lebron is coming towards him lol

One thing is for certain you can't say this about the Pacers. They got tested in both series which may benefit them. Also this isn't near the best Miami team they have had in the era of the big 3. Though they are still damn good.

I think it's Heat in 5. People will give me flack, but the Pacers have played like a WNBA team than a NBA team. Terribly inconsistent, idc if they get "motivated by playing the Heat."

It is astounding to me how vital and influential David West has been. The Pacers were dead in the water, then he turned it around in that elimination game against the Hawks, then again tonight. I guess the Pacers will never trade away veterans (Danny Granger) again, huh? Kudos to West...

Indy could fluster Miami, or Indy could lay down and die from the opening tip. After the Pacers started PMSing, I am honestly just happy this series is happening! It's time to see if HCA is worth a lick!

That is sometimes miamis biggest problem. They sometimes play with no effort or energy.

Roy Hibbert going to average 4 pts, 2 rebs and a half a block against Miami while Paul George averaged 17 ppg on 35% from the field.
