Hill simply isn't a true point guard. He is more of a combo guard. That is why every time Watson gets on the floor he moves to the shooting guard position which is his stronger position.

Ian Mahinmi just told Teague to get that **** out of here. No free trips in the lane this time.

While I love rooting for the underdog, I would rather see Indy/Washington in round two. Just a more intriguing matchup. Hoping the Pacers keep this up.

I WILL root for the Wiz in round 2 though if they make it. I believe both of those teams can give Miami some problems. Not necessarily win, but I think Atlanta would get run over by the Heat.

hoosiercubsfan
05-03-2014, 06:51 PM
Biggest issue I have with what they are saying at the half. Is that you live by the three you also die by the three. They have drilled MULTIPLE contested 3's in this series. Sooner or later you are simply going to start missing them.

P&GRealist
05-03-2014, 06:52 PM
203 3's attempted by the Hawks in this series.

203 3's attempted by the Hawks in this series.

Are you kidding me?

And before this game started they had hit 39.2% of them. That is the perfect equalizer to the size advantage the Pacers have. And Vogel was VERY slow to switch to a line up to defend it. Which is why I think if they do lose this game he is shown the door. He is being woefully out-coached in this series.

That is who they are. They are averaging over 30 3's per game. And it isn't 8 vs 5 its just that they aren't hitting the 3 like they have for much of the series.

Also out of curiosity, why do you seem to dislike the Pacers so much?

Every game I went to this season Lance always did that. He always went and leaned against the rail when he wasn't in the game. This wasn't something that was new or showing that he was worn out I don't think. Also he did say in the local post game interview that he barely got any sleep the night before because he was so amped up. So that also if he was tired could explain it. Without sleep anyone is going to be tired let alone someone playing like he did last night. Not to mention he is only 23 I am not worried at all about him being tired.

Pacers will have their hands full against the Wiz...if Jeff Teague could run circles around them, I can only imagine what John Wall could do. On top of that, Washington's another team that can shoot the ball and their front court is better than Indys'. Nene and Gortat aren't gonna be pushed around and back down from Wests' shenanigans...

I'll say Wiz in 6, but Indiana winning it wouldn't shock me.

Biggest reason Teague could run circles around them is all 5 players on the floor shot the three reasonably well. And therefore the bigs had to go out and guard them taking them away from protecting the rim. That is simply not the case for the Wizards so you won't see all of the lanes in this series that Teague saw in theirs. It is going to really depend on which Hibbert shows up game 1-6 or game 7. If game 7 Hibbert shows up I think the Pacers win the series if the other its going to be another long series for them. Pretty excited for it and am going to game 2 at least it looks like.

Very true. The Wizards have shooters, but if I'm not mistaken they play Nene and Gortat at the 4 and the 5. We'll see how Whitman adjusts should the need arrive...
