The Los Angeles Times published a story listing potential suitors (http://www.latimes.com/sports/basketball/nba/lakers/la-sp-clippers-new-owner-20140430,0,753070.story#axzz30Oq0cPuM) for the Clippers ownership. The include:
David Geffen, a music and film mogul with a net worth estimated by Forbes at $6.2 billion
Rick Caruso, a billionaire real estate developer who previously tried to buy the Dodgers.
Magic Johnson, who teamed with Guggenheim Partners to buy the Dodgers and previously owned a 4.5-percent stake in the Lakers.
Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., who said he's serious about joining a partnership to buy the team.
Patrick Soon-Shiong, the billionaire doctor, biotech investor and longtime sports fan in Los Angeles who bought Johnson's stake in the Lakers and tried to buy the Dodgers in partnership with money manager Steven Cohen.
Larry Ellison, the billionaire chief executive of software giant Oracle who previously tried to buy the Golden State Warriors.

It took one year from the time Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig stripped McCourt of control of the Dodgers' finances until a sale of the team was completed, with a legal fight in the interim. Jim Peltz, Los Angeles Times
It wasn't in the Times' story, but I guess Oprah Winfrey is interested in partnering with Geffen and Ellison to buy the Clippers.

Geffen or Ellison

Not really sure why, but those are the two that stood out most to me. Gotta imagine Ellison is one of the stronger candidates.

I guess they might pair up? A Geffen/Ellison/Oprah trio would certainly be pretty darn safe.

my guess is magic's group will get it

the guggenheim group has deep pockets,a lot of good will with revitalizing the dodgers ,magic being a beloved ex player and the guy at the center of sterlings hate, makes for a perfect fit and story to end this

Good Lord! Can you imagine how bad that team would be!! We would have traded Blake Griffin for peanuts many times over because according to PSD he could only dunk until about 3 weeks ago.

It should be bought by a Black group. To make sure racism doesn't happen again

Why don't they all just buy it together. It is LA and with Floyd, Magic, Dre, Snoop, Oprah, Geffen and Caruso they would have one hell of a sales pitch to both FA and the NBA. Floyd anf Oprah are great at marketing. Magic would be the basketball mind so players would know it's actually about winning not just the glamour. Everybody else could be the "Hollywood life" of Cali.

LOL... I find this funny. People have short memories.

I mean Oprah did say ALL older white people have to die because she believes it will end racism :/

Mayweather did say "As soon as we come off vacation, we're going to cook that little yellow chump. Once I stomp the midget, I'll make that mother****er make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice." when talking about Pacquiao

How can either of these own a team that just banned it's owner because of racist comments?

Because starving children don't make them any money.
