Patrick Beverly needs to become the starting PG for good next season and have the Rockets trade that POS Lin.

Not sure what you mean here. Beverley started 55/56 games he played in. The game he didn't start he was coming back from injury but I agree with the second part if it's possible

I think it will be the opposite actually. Harden goes off for 30 cuz he'll get probably 20+ FTAs, but Howard will be a stinker at the FT line.

I hope you are wrong about the Clippers. ;)

GSW just doesn't got their **** together. Way too many turnovers, jack up way too many 3's, Bogut not being there hurts them against DeAndre Jordan rebounding, there's essentially no one to stop Blake. CP is holding his own against Steph and forcing him to turn it over consistently.

Clippers in 7 over GSW.

Yes, if Harden gets like 20-30 free throw attempts.

Otherwise, Blazers are the better TEAM while Rockets are a bunch of individuals.

You do realize that the series should be 2-2 right now right? Not to mention they've been up 10+ multiple times right?

They've just **** themselves at the end of games. This series has been a coin flip. It could easily be 3-1 the other way.

Blazers are a very good team but ppl like u act like rox been dominated when in fact they've just been outplayed at the end of games.

Harden doesn't get 20 fts for flopping ten times. Maybe 4 of those fts could be bit the other times he just knows how to draw contact.

Anyways. I'm done ranting.

Portland is a great team but let's not act like they've dominated this series entirely.

Maybe this point of yours and his point about the Blazers being a better team are connected.

This has been a very close series. It truly could have gone either way, but I think there is truth to what he says. Blazers play as more of a team and the Rockets strategy seems to be "If Harden doesn't work, give it to Howard. If Howard doesn't work, give it to Harden."

Also, we can see how good Harden is at drawing fouls now that they call less ticky-tack fouls. He's shooting like 35%...

Exactly. Look at what's happening with KD in the Memphis series. He ain't getting those phantom calls and ridiculous copious amount of free throw attempts in the 15-20 range that he would usually get during the regular season.

KD's 50+% regular season shooting is now down to 40% in the MEM series.

That's what happens when you got 2 guys like KD and Harden who rely so much on flopping and initiating contact and dominating free throw attempt #s during the regular season, but when the playoffs roll around and the league allows more physical contact, we see what they really are all about.

Yes the blazers have closed better but imo it's a collection of diff things.

Maybe Portland is the better team. Maybe not but as for harden...

Lack of fouls doesn't translate to this poor 3 pt. percentage.

I'll give blazers credit. They're playing tough d on him but he doesn't rely on just free throws. Otherwise he wouldn't be shooting like 16% on 3s. That's a whole diff animal.

You get a copious amount of free throw attempts, you see the ball go thru the hoop. That boosts ur confidence, the rim looks like a big ocean, and you get into a rhythm, and then you start hitting the 3's from outside, contested or not.

That's what guys like Harden and Durant are primarily. Guys who need to get to the line to get their rhythm and confidence going, they're the quintessential "seeing the ball go thru the hoop and now the hoop looks like the size of the ocean".

I suppose there's some truth to that.

I'm just saying though. These are two evenly matched teams and one team has gotten it done 3 out of 4 times.

Credit goes to the Blazers. They've made the plays down the stretch.

I'm not saying Houston comes back. I'm just saying that they haven't been completely outplayed until 4th q/o.t's.

I do believe Dwight and Lin deserve the most credit for the victory. But it's pretty presumptuous to say they don't win if Beverley doesn't get the flu. Lin played 28.5 minutes per game in this series prior to tonight's game, in which he played 31. He played extremely well, which is why he was getting more minutes. Not necessarily because of Beverley's illness. Also, he only played 2 minutes more this the series average, so it seems like kind of a silly point.

Another good game by Dwight tonight despite the foul trouble . Parsons had a solid game , I think he backed up game4. Lin had a solid game , played with aggression, he was patient, made a few stop and go moves , he even used the floater. He should take note from what he did last night . Harden isn't locked in , if he move to the ball when Dwight is double teamed . He has an open 3 or 5 other options but all easy points . McHale should talk with his chest , he was nervous during the sideline interview . I can only imagine how he is with the player . Asik, Mr. Consistent whom I said wasn't a starter . He's a good starter next to dwight.

Even if they lose I want a game 7.

welp. looks like i need to dust up my nba facts.

could have sworn it was still to have happened.

Now that I think about it, I also think the Magic were up 3-1 and lost to the Pistons, back when we had TMac.

You were probably thinking of coming back down 0-3, which hasn't happened in Basketball.

The closest it came was the Blazers stormed back on the Mavs (back when they had Dirk and Nash) to tie it but lost game 7. I went to a couple of those games and all I could think was "That Nash guy is unstoppable" (this was before he was STEVE NASH).

Always. Those same fans always disappear.

They post at the beginning. "Rox lose." Then at the end, if it fits their agenda, they show up or not.

A lot of Skip Bayless type posters around.
