Can't wait for this!!!!! The true story of the pound 4 pound goat....dude got blackballed but this movie should open eyes and change this dudes perception, saw the trailer.

Still think it would have been much bigger had he retired on his own terms and not been forced out. Oh well...

Am curious about how the documentary is going to portray Iverson. I expect Iverson to be going 'woe-is-me' everyone was against me and I was disrespected for no reason. Would be pleasantly surprised if Iverson shows some humility and accountability for his mistakes both on/off the court.

Yeah I expect him to be contrite about all the teams he tried to leave and left, and all the coaches he shived, and his drug and gambling problems, and the 2 year contract he signed in Turkey he didn't honored (:laugh2:).

It's going to be a put up job since he was never black balled. Every GM and Owner knew what sort of buzz they'd get signing him, and what sort of cancerous selfish monster they'd have to deal with if they signed him. He was so toxic nobody wanted to touch him, not even Philly.

He earned what's happened to him. He's an example of what not to be on and off the court, not some hero as the sadly mislead attempt to portray him.

Looking forward to this, but I foresee this thread getting ugly, as all A.I threads do.

I'm hoping it's an honest/objective look at his career, he really does have an interesting story considering how polarizing a figure he is. He went from league MVP to nearly broke in less than a decade, would love to hear how that unfolded without the media hype/rumors.

Guy was amazing... I guess I would have a hard time calling him blackballed. Guy didn't care if his image helped the league or not. When his play was no longer worth the headache of his off court persona, that ended it for him. The NBA is a business. Why keep him when he's at the point he's pushing fans away rather than toward the game. When you do have reasonable questions about his ability to disrupt your team chemistry or not be happy with a reduced role? I think he made his choice. He wasn't going to be clean cut, toe the line, and be a role model teammate. When you are scoring 28 a game, that's something you can live with. When you are scoring 12 a game and not really helping a team in the win column... why pay him?

When AI looks up the NBA pyramid, Mo Cheeks is in the way. That's the kind of guy you want on your team.

Mo Cheeks was a serious, very smart and talented ballplayer. Mo was all about the team.
