The players? Coaching? Matchups?

Just curious because a friend of mine doesn't watch regular season at all but gets pumped for the playoffs.

Every year the first two days where you have 4 games each day is fun. This year specifically I love the unpredictability of the West, the Heat trying to 3-peat, how the Pacers respond, and if the Raptors were a team worth tanking for...

A lot of games, but not just any games, the best of the best. Competitive, physical, intense, match ups, coaching, underdog stories, superstars going head to head for four, five, six maybe seven games. The fans, the atmosphere (even on T.V) the hype, the excitement, the fact that every second actually matters and, more importantly, the players actually PLAY like every second matters. Think about how much passion people play with during March Madness? Yeah, now just imagine if the shots actually went in. Watching the NBA 82 game marathon end and the final sprint begin... it's just everything you wait for the entire season.

My favorite part of the nba playoffs is the beginning of the 2nd round. When the playoff really get started.

the level of competition. the way the game slows down and evolves back into the style of play that I love and respect.
