The New York Knicks signed Lamar Odom just 45 minutes before the deadline on a two-year deal.

The Knicks will have an option on Odom's contract for the 14-15 season.

Low risk move. no issue with this.

Worst case scenario: dont bring him back. No harm no foul

Best case scenario: he works hard this summer... gets in great shape... and becomes a key bench player for us next year and he is a leader in practice helping the team learn the triangle

Not bad for vet min. Signings like this worked out well with Kidd-Sheed-etc. last year.

Going to help teach the triangle off the bench. Why not

 That is as low risk a contract as you can offer. "We want to sign you to a 6 hour contract with a team option for next year." "Ok."

Lamar back to his roots in NYC.

Is there any more of a blessed and lucky guy like Lamar to play in awesome cities?

Went from LA to south beach back to the real LA to Dallas back to LA and now NY

Hopefully PJ helps get Odom back on track. The dude can be great. Maybe he has a little left, despite the funk he's been in since he got depressed by being shipped out of LA.
