Was that a huskie or a wolf? If that's a huskie I could definitely see some marketability with that lol.

Video's been removed.

There was a Huskie...? You know that interview that Leiweke did with Strombo a little while ago, the one where Leiweke said that they can and will re-sign Lowry? I watched the whole actually and at one point they started talking about the Raptor name and Strombo said he was happy that they didn't change it -- and he asked Leiweke how close they were to changing it to Huskies. Leiweke said real close. But then he said something along the lines of "Well, what makes you think we still won't change it?"

Hmm.

Pretty sure it was a wolf not a husky. Cool vid. My favorite was, "Nowhere near the South side".

it was a huskie... obviously a big and huskie one lol.

but what would a wolf have to do with anything.

The ad acknowledges the franchise’s past, featuring a shot of a husky dogs trotting onto a blacktop court – the Toronto Huskies played the 1946-47 season in a league that would later become the NBA.

The ambiguity is the point IMO. Smart branding, featuring a husky in flashes like that makes it ominous and threatening, not cuddly like some might think of a husky, but dangerous like a wolf (or a Raptor). Smart identity work on the branding side.

I don't know how anyone can mistake it for anything but a Huskie.

I was trying to think of a clever thing to say to defend it possibly being a wolf but no that's just stupid.

Obviously its a direwolf.

Brilliant! That's the new name.....we need to jump from one fad animal name to another.....Jurassic Park was what? 20 years ago now? Time to step it up, A Song of Ice and Fire is where it's at!!!!

The are definite Game of Thrones overtones to the marketing.

I don't care, still looks like a gray wolf to me. Why would that be better? Wolves hunt in packs, very cunning, very dangerous. Likely the 2nd or 3rd most dangerous land predator in the country. Huskies are cuddly pets. Hope we don't go back to Huskies.

I found it looked very similar to this http://images.nationalgeographic.com/wpf/media-live/photos/000/005/cache/grey-wolf_565_600x450.jpg. Although I do concede that it is in fact a husky in the video.

Is that Amir at 0:07? The guy looks a lot like him. Anyways, the court that guy is walking up to is around the corner from me. There's a wall right along the baseline. It's ridiculous.

lol brooklyn doesn't actually own nets.com. The guy who owns it reroutes it to random teams to piss them off so they would buy it. When they were relocating, he routed it to the Knicks' site.
