Who do you have for the 6th man of the year.

If you have a 'homer' pick, ie a guy from your fav team, even if he is deserving, include a second option as well.

Jamal Crawford and it really isn't close

Are you from the past? Hello guy from 2010/11, welcome to 2014.

Give me Gibson, Markieff or Reggie Jackson over Crawford.

My vote goes to Taj Gibson. He's just the epitome of hustle and his on/off numbers are fantastic. It will probably end up going to a guard though, maybe even Crawford. Not because they're the most deserving but because for whatever reason, people value scoring off the bench over everything else, and despite his inefficiency he's fun for casual fans to watch.

Nick Young.
If the conspiracy theory does exist and the league does protect the big market teams, give the Lakers a consolation award. lol, just kidding.

give a shout out to DJ Augustine as well, alot of bulls fans will admit, his play has probably saved our season, he wont win it, but he deserves some credit.

Jamal Crawford will probably win it just from a PPG stand point, too much value on that though, Taj is my Homer and pick for 6th man, he is essentialy our starter though seeing as boozer wont play in the 4th quarter.

Vince Carter. Just cool to see him re invent himself in which nearly all his buddies could not do once their athleticism declined.

Plus he deserves it with the mavs possibly winning 50 on an OK roster.

A lot of 6th man candidates have spent considerable time starting because of injuries so I wanted to look at the numbers of these players strictly when they're coming off the bench.

Jamal Crawford: 17.4 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 3.1 APG on 57 TS% in 26.4 MPG
Markieff Morris: 13.7 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 1.8 APG on 56.3 TS% in 26.5 MPG
Taj Gibson: 12.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 0.9 APG on 52.9 TS% in 27.2 MPG
Tyreke Evans: 12.1 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 4.5 APG on 46.8 TS% in 25 MPG
Vince Carter: 12 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 2.7 APG on 54.1 TS% in 24.3 MPG
Reggie Jackson: 12.3 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.4 APG on 54.4 TS% in 26.5 MPG
Nick Young: 18.5 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 1.6 APG on 56.7 TS% in 28.4 MPG

From those bench numbers I would say the top candidates are Crawford, Morris and Young. If you factor in team record that takes Young out of it so I think it should be between Markieff and Jamal.

Taj Gibson and honorable mention to DJ Augustine ...Unfortunately for DJ, having being on the bulls only after January kinda hurts his chances.

Taj Gibson. Instrumental to an overachieving Bulls team. Especially playing most of the 4th.

I'd go with Taj too. The guy just doesn't care, like the honey badger.
