I'm sure this thread has been made before, but I couldn't help but create a new version this time around after looking through basketball reference and stumbling across the roster for the 2001 NBA ALL STAR GAME. The Eastern Conference featured 3 future hall of famers ;)...

Theo Ratliff - Possibly a pity choice because he was the 2nd best player on Iverson's 76ers?
Anthony Mason - First all star selection at the tender age of 34!
Antonio Davis - Pity choice for 2nd best on Vinsanity's Raptors?

And that was just one year...

Here are some other gems:

Tyrone Hill - 1995. He was a serviceable player but an all star? Cmon
Dale Davis - 2000. Another head scratcher... Was the East really this bad in 2000 / 2001 ?
Jerry Stackhouse - 2000, 2001 Yes he was a good scorer and he lead the league one year, but we now know there was some major chucking involved
Jamal Maglorie - He needs NO description
AC Green - The epitome of a role player and a 1x all star
Josh Howard - What ever happened to this dude?
Mo Williams / Jameer Nelson - In the same year

Any other notable terrible selections?

Was a big fan of The Rattler. Great player before the injury in his All-Star season.

Mo Williams. He isn't even a starting caliber PG, yet LeBron turned him into an All Star for a year.

James Donaldson in the late 80's. 1988, 7 points... 9 boards a game.. all star.

BJ Armstrong the year he started in it?

Is Brad Miller the worst multiple time all star?

have to disagree with howard being there-19/7 on decent efficiency ,playing as the number 2 guy on the best team in league(recordwise)

a 20 way tie for every 2nd player that was sent from a top team because of the unwritten NBA rule that the top team in the game at the time MUST have at least 2 all stars, no matter what.

I'm not sure how BJ Armstrong was ever an all-star, and a guy like Rod Strickland was not. It paid to be a Bull in the 90's. Luc Longley got his own action figure!!
