Saw this in the baseball forum thought it would be cool for basketball.

If every player drafted/signed as an amateur had to remain with your team for their entire careers....what would your current roster look like?

Jennings
Meeks
Antetokounmpo
Nowitzki
Bogut
Mbah a Moute
Sanders

Lakers look like the worst team in the league.
Well we got Marc gasol so we got that going for us I guess.

Lance Stephenson/Jerryd Bayless
Paul George
Kawhi Leonard/Danny Granger
Tyler Hansbrough/Al Harrington
Miles Plumlee

Not much depth and the frontcourt isn't looking too promising.

It's a great idea for a thread :)

Unfortunately, I don't have a favorite team in the NBA, so I wouldn't know whose roster to take over.

But I wanna ask, what about draft day trades? Because often times, those are planned in advance (example, Kobe was technically a Hornet).

So is it the team you debuted with? Or the team that drafted you/signed a free agent first with?

I'm sure the Suns would have a pretty good team. They have made a lot of questionable draft day trades haha

No wonder we're so happy about this years draft! Our drafting sucks. Cant believe we got no wing players left in the league. Lmfao

OKC's full draft picks of players currently in NBA would look like this:

PG: Westbrook, Jackson,Bledsoe, Ridnour, Watson, (Beaubois currently not with NBA)
SG: Harden, Willie Green, Goodwin (didn't actually draft roberson, traded goodwin for him)
SF: Durant, Jeff Green, Pondexter, R Lewis
PF: Ibaka, Landry, Davis, P Jones
C : Adams, Collison

Actual depth chart of players actually on the roster:

PG: Russ/ Jackson/ Ridnour
SG: Harden/ Bledsoe
SF: Durant/Green/Pondexter
PF: Ibaka/ Landry/Jones
C : Adams/Collison

That'd be who i think would make the 13 man roster. Players released would be Watson, Willie Green, Goodwin, R Lewis, and Glen Davis (Davis doesn't fit well with OKC so he wouldn't stay)

If its all time then i'd add atleast 4 names to the list. Updated depth would be:

PG: G Payton, Russ, Jackson
SG: S Pippen/Harden/Bledsoe
SF: Durant/Pippen/Green
PF: Kemp/Ibaka/Collison
C : Sikma/Adams/Collison
