If you guys don't beat the Knicks (dream match up), you don't DESERVE to be in the Western play offs. Seriously, the way the Lakers and Phoenix lit up the Knicks, you might as well fold up your tents and shoot for a lotto pick if you lose this.

I freely admit I want the Grizzlies to lose.

I would *LOVE* to see an OKC/Grizzlies or Clippers/Grizzlies rematch in the first round. Seriously good clash of styles and really good test for both OKC and the Clippers.

Houston/GSW or Houston/Portland would both be a blast to watch.

Dallas/Clippers would also be a decent series I think. It would be interesting to see how the Clippers adjust against a team of serious veterans over 7 games.

bad loss for GSW

Very bad loss. SO many games they play from behind plus then losing to a tailor made opponent in the Knicks.

Really makes me question their "killer" instinct. Quality teams that are out to stomp their opponent don't find themselves playing from behind nearly so often.

I don't know what GSW is missing right now, but *something* is missing. They have all the pieces on paper...

They were missing their starting power forward and center, David Lee and Andrew Bogut today. Hard to win when you have Speights, O'Neal, and Green playing the 4 and 5 all game.

That was *today*, and doesn't explain 20 games playing from behind this season.

And really, blaming the absence of Lee and Bogut against the Knicks? The Knicks have NO DEFENSE. That's not a joke. I'm a Knicks fan and our defense is a complete joke.

The Knicks were run off the floor by the Lakers AND Phoenix. Guards rack up more season highs on the Knicks than I care to count. And the 2nd quarter scoring implosion by GSW had nothing to do with Bogut and Lee's absence.

On Offense alone GSW should have run the Knicks off the floor... it wasn't like the GSW players were being locked down.

I think you are underrating the Warriors starting 5. I know every team goes through injuries, but Lee is the main inside presence for the Warriors. Offense is kind of hard to run when Jermaine O'Neal is your best post presence and your offense revolves around jumpers. If it were the playoffs, Bogut would have most likely played and Lee too I believe. 82games has the Warriors starting 5 of Curry/Thompson/Iguodala/Lee/Bogut as one of the best statistically. We lost Thompson a few games, then when he comes back we lost Iggy, then when he finally returns Lee is gone and Bogut 1 game later.

my god, u even trash the Knicks when they come up with a GUTSY win on the road?

It's not "trashing" when it's true. Our defense IS non-existent. How many open jumpers did you see for Steph Curry? WAY more than should ever be allowed to be seen by human eyes. We didn't beat the GSW due to exceptional defense. Our defense was STILL trash.

Yes, the Knicks played with decent effort, but this post isn't about the Knicks (they are who they are). GSW has been positioning themselves as fringe contenders all season. Their lack of urgency during many games, the number of games they let slip away, and the number of games that are won IN SPITE of allowing themselves to fall far behind is a disturbing trend for a potential "contender".

And I'm not the only one who's noticed this. GSW fans have commented on this throughout the season. Personally I was attributing it to working out the kinks for the most part, but to see these habits still in play so close to the play offs (with seeding being SO competitive in the West) is making me re-assess their focus and desire as a team.

This is unfortunate, as GSW is one of my favorite teams to watch out West (along with Houston, the Spurs, and OKC -- though Phoenix is sure working hard to get into the regular video rotation).

we all know how bad the Knicks have been this year... but we've won 10 of 13, are within 1 game of the #8 seed, and on a night where we go into GS and hold one of the highest scoring teams in the league to 84 points, you're still talking about how bad the Knicks are...

Don't let the final score of 84 mislead you.

GSW missed TONS of WIDE OPEN shots. Thompson was shooting like garbage. Barnes couldn't hit the wide side of a barn.

The number of times that GSW put zero on the board on a possession due to SHEER LUCK was more than I can count. GSW had us out of position possession after possession after possession. Yes, the last 2 minutes was very good defensively. However, play that SAME game 10x over with the exact same looks and GSW blows us out of the game 8/10 times.

How many games do you realistically expect Thompson to shoot 6/18 from mostly WIDE OPEN shots? Or Barnes to shoot 2/7? Or Blake to go 0/4?

I give credit to the Knicks for taking the win that GSW was handing to them on a platter. What I don't give the Knicks credit for is GSW's decision to not even run the PnR against one of the worst PnR defenses in the NBA or GSW's lack of defensive urgency.

And despite me being a Knicks fan, I'm NOT going to call bad play good. The Knicks are WAY past the benefit of the doubt. They're a bad basketball team, their record reflects that, and adding a narrative to a win as "gutsy" just distracts from the very real problems that have plagued the Knicks all season.

And 10/13 doesn't mean that much when you're blowing critical games like the Lakers and Phoenix due to complete lack of effort in the most critical stretch of a "play off run".

Yea, what part of so cal? I live in OC, city of La Habra. That's where all of em have been at. Seems like the epicenter is right under my room :laugh2:
I live in Bakersfield but yea I don't think we have had a earthquake here in over 10 years.

Why aren't you reppin an LA team being frm So Cal?

Cause everyone else here loves the Lakers and I hate being mainstream. Plus Suns were an underdog team when I started watching basketball so they nice to root for.
