I ended up going with Las Vegas in this one because I love the rotation and bullpen. The offense has a fair amount of upside as well with Hosmer being a guy I think can be a monster this year. Pujols should have a better year and same goes for Phillips as long as he stops being a **** about everything.

It was close for me between Portland, Brampton, and Las Vegas.

I gotta say, I like Portland's team the most. Think their 1-3 in the rotation matches Brampton's, but I love Ellsbury and Heyward at the top. Butler and Davis in the middle is great too. I think top to bottom, it's a solid lineup and defense with a great pen.

I almost went Brampton, as I love King Felix and Shields at the top with Miley being no slouch and their 1-6 in the lineup is very good too. 7-9 in the lineup looks suspect though and I don't like Leake or the pen outside of Robertson/Janssen and maybe Cecil.

Las Vegas was certainly up there, but I don't trust Ubaldo at all and Holland is out until like the AS break. The lineup falls off after Braun too, IMO.

This was a really tough vote for me. All of the teams were pretty good here. But, I have to go with Las Vegas because Posey-Bruan-Pujols is awesome. They have a very good lineup and good pitching. Amherst would be 2nd for me.

We took him late because of that, I just think his upside for half the season is pretty solid. We also added Kevin Gausman who would be our 5th starter until Holland got healthy as well as David Phelps who would be a swing type for us.

I am surprised I got 1 vote. Didn't think my team was any good

The rotation just looks risky to me. I like Lester and Gray, but who knows which Jimenez we're getting in 2014. Gausman was absolutely horrendous as a starter for the Orioles last year, but he was excellent in relief.

Not having Holland for all that time is a blow, and he might not be 100% when he comes back.

I mean, I'm not trying to argue for your vote, you already made your mind up. I'm just pointing out that there are insurance options in place for when Holland's out. As for Gausman, if you want to make your mind up over his abilities as a starter over 24 innings in his first appearance in the big leagues be my guest. I'm not going to argue that he had a rough start to his big league career.....like a lot of first time starters do. I think you may be surprised by how talented he actually is when you see him pitch again this year though. Also you make it sound like Jimenez is awful and incredibly inconsistent yet he's had one year out of the past 6 where his FIP was above 3.83.
