I was wondering when somebody was going to make this thread. Two really great, nationally televised games tonight. That Heat-Thunder game is probably the most important game of the season at this point, with Miami trying to move up to the top spot in the East and Lebron trying to get back into the MVP discussion. And the Rockets and Warriors are always entertaining to watch.

I'd like the Thunder chances better if Westbrook wasn't back tonight. Between that and the week off I think there's a good chance their offense will be a bit off tonight.

Between GSW/HOU it will depend on Bogut playing for who I favor. Was looking forward to this game being our first look at them with Iggy and it still should be good, but that's a W for Houston if Howard gets to own the paint.

Great couple of games and my day off? Drinks shall be consumed en mass at the casino tonight.

Nothing better than head to head match ups to show everyone that LeBron is still the king.

Overall. that's what matters right?

That's only part of the story. I look at it all. Would you rather see him attack and pull his floater or shoot a fade away 20 footer from the corner?

Let's be real. Wade can't shoot deep. When he gets hot, he can catch fire but that's not his strong suit.

He's 11-32 from that corner on the left side of the basket. 34%

I get what you're saying but his overall efficiency puts him at the top in the league, especially for a SG>also when a few jumpers go in, it kind of spreads the floor for him and he gets to the hole

mightybosstone

So much sloppy play from both teams right now. If Miami didn't keep having all these unforced turnovers, they'd be leading this game by 20 points.

mightybosstone
02-20-2014, 10:23 PM
Wow.... Horrible way to end that quarter for Miami. Anderson just misses a wide open chance for a dunk and it goes back the other way for a dunk on the other end. That's a 4-point turnaround and all of a sudden it's a 7-point game.

poleandreel
02-20-2014, 10:30 PM
What are people talking about? Russ has 2 turnovers...meanwhile KD has 3, started 1/5 and let Lebron score 12 consecutive points in the first quarter.

Russ looks good to me. Active on defense tipping passes, still grabbing offensive rebounds, and put a dope move on wade on that fastbreak.

The offense is not the issue so don't say acclimating westbrook is the problem. The problem is whenever OKC plays the heat, Brooks need to NOT PLAY perkins. He should get 0 minutes. It's pretty obvious how much better we are against Miami when perkins doesn't get in the game

Last time Miami had 22 to 2 lead before perkins was removed and we won by 20. Same story this game. Losing by 20, take out perkins and we come back.

Also, KD needs to stop being 3 happy and take it to the ****ing hoop. He has been taking an absurd amount of 3s when nobody can guard him if he drives.

I don't think chuck watched the game lol. KD tried shooting 2x and lost the ball when trying to get a foul call. That was 2 turnovers. He still ended the half with 11 shots, on pace for 22...how many more shots does he have to take before people say he isn't being aggressive?

I mean, seriously. Russ has taken half as many shots and has more points than KD even though it's only his first game back.

It's questionable in some people's eyes because he's had a better season. But inferior players regularly have better stretches than guys better than them, in all sports. It takes more than half a season to dethrone the guy who has been at the top for a very long time now.

Kevin Durant is an unbelievable player and is having a season for the ages but LeBron's consistency doesn't stretch half a season..... it stretches over the span of years and he only continues to improve that

Normally I'm not a "blame the ref" guy, but I do think the refs have given a bit of an edge to Golden State in this one. Several no calls on Houston's end, but a few questionable calls on Rockets players. Howard and Asik have combined for 3 fouls, and I only thought 1 was legitimate.

We'll see, though. It's early, and I'm sure there will be questionable calls in Houston's favor later on.

I think it's a matter of value. Morey could have traded him, but no way would they have gotten a player or players of equal value to what he brings to the rotation. Maybe next year at this time, Houston will be able to unload him. Or maybe in the offseason, but teams seem unwilling to take on that $15 million pricetag.
