Interesting Trade Deadline Week wrinkle: Hearing Pelicans poised to receive Disabled Player Exception in $4 mil range for Ryan Anderson

Twitter

"The Brooklyn Nets might want to take Hill off the Lakersí hands, using the disabled player exception they got for Brook Lopez, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports."

These other teams look to be gaining from the use of this exception. Could we possibly do the same with Flanders ??

I think MU values Fields' expiring contract. I don't really care... as long as he doesn't see much time on the court, I'm fine.

This exception allows a team to replace a player who has been injured and will be out the rest of the season or for the entire next season (if the injury occurs during the off-season). This exception may also be used in the tragic case of a player's death.

He played minutes in a game not too long ago didn't he? It's the same reason why LAL can't get the exemption for Nash.
