im sorry but these posts really piss me off.. these fans that praise a player when he does good.. but bashes them otherwise...

BHF "DD is okay when he doesn't take dumb mid range jump shots but his one on one defense is not bad but horrible. That for me is the main reason i would go with Lowry over DD."

TorontoHuskies " Derozan can hardly hit 3's and his D is awful..Lowry is way better than him it's not even close. Derozan got injured for a bit and the Raptors didn't slow down at all Lowry still won the games like he didn't even matter."

i think the poll should be changed... who has been teh Raptors true leader this year, Derozan or Lowry.... i personally think DD has been teh reason for our turn around, yes Lowry is having a career year, but Derozan has taken more strides in his game then Lowry has.

I think both are the reason why raptors are doing well this season so far. However I think we have few players who can step in if DD has to miss some time. If Lowry is gone, I don't think we have an adequate back up PG to replace him. Don't get me wrong, I know DD has carried this team on many occasions. But I think if we lose Lowry, I think it would impact the raptors quite negatively.

It would be nice to start the 2nd half with a win against a team that is playing quality ball. Going to be a tight game. I hope raptors pull it off.

If Ross shuts down Beal, we win the game.

I'll tell ya, it's funny watching the other team's feed. They always got to say something about "the team from Canada" or "north of the border" and even at one point comparing the game to the Olympics saying that it, too, was "a USA vs. Canada match, and right now, the Canadians are winning."

Thanks to our PF depth, Jonas/Hansborough played only 17mins, Amir 25.

Credit Casey for not playing Jonas in the 2nd half after opening up a 20 pt lead. I saw people questioning why he sat for so long, we lack depth at centre. Jonas should be fresh for Chicago.

Unfortunate, long sit, Jonas was cold when Wiz made their run & Casey had to put him back in as Pat fouled out.

I hope I'm not giving Casey too much credit here as to why Jonas was on the bench 2nd half.

Maybe, although sometimes I think you give him to much grief for his rotations, so at least you are being consistent both ways ;).

I noticed his minutes were down as well, which I found interesting considering how affective he was offensively in the first half. However, the Amir/Patterson/Hansbrough combination was defending the pick and roll more effectively - but that might be a team effect from the second half, rather than attributal to Valanciunas' lack of playing time.

Small ball was more effective in defending the Wall p'n'r but I do think Jonas only saw 17 minutes when he could have played some garbage minutes up 20, for development.

Don't let others fool you. I have given Casey credit for his defense & in all my criticism of rotations, matchups in game/time management, never called for him to be fired. My criticism gets blown out of proportion because I have a poster that likes to harp on all my comments with baseless assumptions of my intent.

No one is fooling me, I hope the wink indicated that it was a light-hearted comment. Tone is tough to convey in text :). There have been times when you and deaner have been very critical of Casey's in game rotation management (possibly rightfully so). I don't think I'm off base there. At times I think you are over-analyzing (or at least you analyze more in depth than I care to read into things). If you are giving him to much credit, than at least that degree of analysis is going both ways.

Casey's in game rotation management is still questionable. That's why I still strongly believe he is not the coach for this team's future :)

I'm not trying to fool anyone, my opinion remains the same, I think Casey a good defensive assistant, than head coach. Criticize him for game management, credit him for a top 10 defense.

I know we good, cool scene.
