WTF...

I'd say Shaq for Odom or Jefferson for KG.

jefferson was far from a star back then.

Odom wasn't a star then either. Good player but never a star

Bynum-iggy-howard could have been had Bynum stayed healthy

that wasnt a star for star trade though, regardless of bynum's health ,because the magic(the team trading the big star) only took back vucievic and afflalo

That's not what he asked, on THAT celtics team he probably was THEIR star.

Thats like the first thing that hit my mind...

So many of you guys are missing the point, at the time these guys were probably THAT team's star. Not league stars.

Obviously PP was there and is their plAyer of this era, but i think he was out most of that season and people thought AlmJeff was gonna become a bg time player, he just never played D

Really because I'm pretty sure the question was "when was the last time a team traded THEIR star for another team's star"... Not much to lose to interpretation there.

Good question, Op... I hope you are going to make a point, by asking this question (sooner then later please).

Jason Kidd for Devin Harris at the time was pretty close

Everyone talks about these "Blake for Love" "Blake for LeBron" kind of deals but maybe since Kidd and Marbury there hasn't been one like that since. Even before that all I can think of is Danny Manning for Dominique

kingsdelez24

Francis for Tmac

Yeah. That was a big trade. And yet so lopsided in what it did for those teams.

T-Mac for Stevie was mentioned. Both guys were All-Stars in their primes in bad situations. T-Mac was obviously better, but Stevie was a star. A good deal of people in Houston hated Stevie leaving. Were mad at the trade.

Most of the trades I can think of were at least one of the guys past their primes:

Peja for Artest
Dantley for Aguirre
Shaq for Marion

TMH mentioned Kidd for Marbury. That's a good one.
