I'll kick things off.

Rockets:

Casspi
Lin
Asik

D-Mo has been showing flashes as of late, though. He might bump off Casspi by the end of the season. That is, if the roster looks the same. D-Mo has been defending and shooting well enough to play big minutes. Even finished a few games. This was a shock to me, cause I was about ready to give up on him. Casspi is so hit and miss. He can really make big plays, and then become a total non-factor.

Lin has been getting better. His strength has always been getting to the bssket, but he has tightened his game a little lately. He still makes careless plays too often, but his playmaking and hustle have shone through more. He also has upped his shooting a bit.

Asik is an enigma. Still might get traded. But if he decides to accept his role, he could be huge. When Howard leaves the game, the defense goes to crap. Asik fixes that problem. There is a reason teams want him. But he has also been a headache.

Bulls only have 2. DJ Augustin, Taj Gibson, Tony Snell

DJ has been absolutely fantastic as a Bull...he seriously is the perfect player on this team. I hope we re-sign him in the offseason.

Taj has an extremely inconsistent offensive game (much improved though) but his defense presence is crucial for our team.

Tony is a rookie but shows flashes of being a very good shooter in the league.

Unfortunately for the Lakers their top bench players are now their starters.

Sessions
Tolliver
I guess Biyombo would be third for his defensive presence. Jeff Taylor would probably be the third if he was healthy.

Brooks has been good, but I left him off because barring injury, he's not going to be playing.

I'm confused the thread title makes it seem like you want top 3 bench players period or on a team?

If it's pick top 3 bench players I'm going with D. J. Augustin, Jamal Crawford, and Omer Asik have your play maker, scorer, and dominate post defender. Honorable mention Reggie Jackson, Kyle Korver, Taj Gibson can't really think of any great bench defensive bigs off hand right now but I'd replace Taj with him.

for my team it's D.J. Augustin, Taj Gibson, and Tony Snell. If we didn't trade Deng it would be Dunleavy over Snell but with injures and trades our bench has become our starting unit in many ways.

Love me some Barnes I'd love to trade for him while he's not being used as much because of Iggy. Wonder what it would take to get him I'm assuming it would start with Hinrich, Dunleavy and a pick. Get your much needed back up PG an extra perimeter defender and Dunleavy a vet shooter who could help for your stretch run having a really good year for CHI.

id put hinrich over snell, he should be playing on the bench, but that said, taj and DJ could start for some teams IMO, at least taj, he has really proven himself this season. DJ is easily a good 6th man though.
