Now that Del Zotto is gone I think it's time for The Rangers to retire Ron Greschner's #4.
He is 4th in games played with 982
2nd in goals scored by a defenseman with 179
7th in assists all time with 431
7th in all time scoring with 610
1st in all time penalty minutes with 1226

I believe that these credentials qualify him to have his number retired. Also spent entire career, 16 seasons, with the New York Rangers.

I agree 10000% Ron was one of my fave players. Me and my dad always remember a 3 game span where once a game he took the puck from his own goal line went around everyone to score on end to end rushes. It is long over due in my opinion. Its not only about the stats. Ron was a Ranger. He was funny. He picked up lots of hot ladies. He still does stuff with the team.
