Free agent center Andrew Bynum and his agent are in Indianapolis.

Bynum has been a free agent since being released by the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 7 after a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to earlier reports, the Indiana Pacers were one of several teams to reach out to Bynum.

Bynum's agent David Lee told The Indianapolis Star that he and Bynum were in town. According to Lee, Bynum and the Pacers have not reached a contractual agreement.

Interesting

He's still a baby but he can help that bench come playoff time

This is all confusing. Some reported that it was basically a done deal and others have said nothing is agreed upon yet. If it does happen I think I'm one of the few Pacer fans that like this move.

So much for the heat combating Hibbert with Bynum now they are going to have to deal with two 7 footers if he actually signs there.

If Bynum listens to his coach. Indy might have just gift wrapped theirselves the NBA championship.

I think we have the leadership to keep Bynum in check and Larry wouldn't make this move if he thinks it could be harmful.

Larry Bird did get Lance straightened out and that was said to be one of the toughest to straighten out. I'll go w/ if Bynum f's up they know David West and Roy Hibbert will kick his *** since they both are UFC trained.

everyone will make a big deal (media) but it's irrelevant.

lol, please

Bynum would come to Golden State and come off the bench for Bogut if he was serious about winning another championship.

For what it's worth, the Pacers' official twitter tweeted about this and I don't think that happens very often when it comes to rumors. I'm guessing this may be a done deal by tomorrow.

Because Golden St. is more of a championship contender than Indy?

Indy, Miami and perhaps San Antonio are the only teams that could probably keep this guy in check. As others have mentioned Larry Bird, Frank Vogel, David West, etc. will not let Drew mess up their chemistry. Could be a nice move. Still think Indy can use a playmaker off the bench though.

Trade Granger already

I'm pretty sure Granger will remain on the team all year, but I guess you never know. As for the playmaker thing, I get what you're saying, but Lance usually plays with the bench and he's our best playmaker by far. We just signed CJ Watson, so I don't really see where another point guard fits in unless we trade one.

Bynum's presence alone is a game changer

Yeah, very unlikely they trade Granger, plus really no solid pg's are available for just his expiring deal.

I just wonder if they could've somehow stolen Lowry for Granger and a first at the start of the year when the Raps were struggling. Man, you guys would be even more unstoppable.

Still, probably can't complain lol, you guys have a championship caliber team

Yeah, if Bynum can stay healthy and contribute then I think we'll be fine... If we sign him of course.

This is the real question. Can an injury prone and dim witted Oden outplay a lazy and fat Bynum in the ECF?

Lance Stephenson would make Bynum his b!tch. Real talk.
