It's essentially a 30-point triple-double vs. a 50 point game. Tough call.

There are two players who are standing above all other players last night: Terrance Ross and Kevin Durant. Terrance Ross is the only player to ever average less than 10 points per game and post a 50 point game in the same season. He also tied a franchise record for most points scored in a game (Vince Carter was the first Raptor to pull of the feat). However, since the 85/86 season, fans have seen 35 instances where players have posted numbers as good or better than Ross’s numbers. Still, to put together a game that usually only comes up once or twice a season is pretty impressive. Durant’s numbers, though, are perhaps even more impressive. Since the 85/86 season, 4 other players have managed to pull off a triple double with as many points, assists, rebounds, steals and blocks as Durant in a regulation game:, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Derrick Coleman and LeBron James, which puts Durant in some pretty rare company. This kind of game only happens about once every 5 or 6 years. Weighing the rarity of the numbers alongside the value, I have to go with Durant over Ross. Durant posted 5 more rebounds and 9 more assists, which for me more than makes up for the 19 point lead Ross has on Durant. Couple with his defensive stats, which are slightly better than Ross as well, Durant seems to have a slight edge, but both players deserve kudos for the historic games they recorded.

Close call between Ross and KD. The latter was super efficient to go along with a triple dub. Gotta give it to the young kid becuase KD has won it so many times before, especially lately.

I'd go Ross. Came with 10 3's and against a better defense.

Plus, just out of nowhere.
