46 points with 5 and a half mins left he can break the Raptors franchise record and the 3 point record .

7th player in the last 9 days to score a career high of 40 or more. The high scoring performances that many of us were accustomed to in the early/mid 00s are slowly coming back it seems.

Has a chance to tie/break the single game 3FG record as well.

lol he's the future for the team man. All this success is just a by product of giving Ross and JVal more minutes and touches. Why would get they mortgage their future away when they know they aren't good enough yet to compete with Miami and Indiana this year. noone is going to give them a superstar at the trade deadline lol .... He's Demar's running mate.

Congrats to T-Ross!

He's becoming quite the player and this game could do wonders for his confidence. Not just a highlight machine and not just a spot up 3 point shooter. He really showed a nice offensive repertoire tonight.

He's going to be an elite defender to in time. Still a little inconsistent with the D but some nights he's a defensive beast.

Yeah he tightened up on D at times tonight even, the whole package is there. Like you said its about consistency for him (like most young players).

pretty much. I would say half of his shots were self generated. most of three pointers were set up with the pass.

Has he shown anything lately that would indicate that he had a 50 point game in him? I know he is averaging under 10ppg. Both Dana Barros and Tony Delk had 50 point games, so I guess I'm asking has he been showing 20-25ppg potential? Or is this tremendously random?

He got everything started tonight with his 3pt shot. 2 in the first few possessions of the game and 5 in the first quarter in total. After that his confidence took over and he started scoring in multiple different ways.

To answer your question, no he is not a 20-25ppg player right now, but I could see him being somewhere in the 18ppg range next season if he starts to get closer to 36ish minutes on a consistent basis.

To me, if he can get his confidence going he will be deadly. His jumpshot is so natural but sometimes you'll watch him and he wont create enough for himself because he doesnt seem to have the confidence to go out there and take more shots.

Sky is the limit for him. Hopefully he gets a little more assertive with his offense.

Ever since Gay got traded he was averaging I think around 14 ppg. With Derozan getting injured by the fiendish Turkoglu, it's not ENTIRELY crazy that he could've scored 50. He was just on fire from 3 tonight.

Up to now his floor looks to be an above average 3 and D wing player. His D was actually his calling card. He takes pride in his defense and is therefor a motivated defender.

He is also a good wing rebounder because of his athleticism.

I don't think he needs to bulk up. You don't want him to lose his quickness and explosiveness. He is playing out of position right now which makes him undersized. You don't want to turn him into something he isn't. He will get stronger as he matures, you don't want to force it.

That's not always the case. Tonnes of athletes have put on some muscle while maintaining their quickness. I'm not saying it can't happen because we have seen players who have lost their quickness at the cost of extra bulk but I don't think that should be a major concern with Ross.

Ross a year younger( actually only 43 days) and shoots a more efficient game than Carter on 2s and 3s. Both with 9 rebounds and 1 assist. Seems to me the edge goes to Ross. If only he would have hit that last FT.

Some douchebag just wrote an article on Yahoo! sports comparing Terrence Ross to Tony Delk... Lol.
Delk was 27 when he had his 53 point game and halfway through his career.
TRoss is halfway through his second season and is putting up 10.2 a game and has only been starting since the Gay trade.
To out it in perspective Paul George only scored 12.1 points/game in his sophomore season,.
I'm not saying Ross will be the next Paul George... But he has a lot more potential than a scrub like Delk ever had.
