Great coach, but not the greatest. Still remember the blunder end game lineups and substitutions he made at the end of both game 6 and 7 (especially game 6) when he had Duncan sitting and allowed Bosh to get that offensive rebound out to Allen for 3.

You give your guys rest, absolutely. But not that that juncture of the game.

Popovich dropped the ball, yet NBA analysts are so afraid of him to point that out. Popovich literally handed the Heat the championship when they were basically dead with a minute to go in game 6. That is something that should NEVER EVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Van Gundy sounds like he doesn't like the Heat.

As great as the Heat and LeBron are, when you've been doing commentating for a while now and you're style is predicated on your own style, it becomes annoying when you're given a script by ESPN/ABC to constantly praise the Heat and shove them down the national audience's throats time after time after time again. That takes away from JVG's style when he has to go follow a script and cues of "Okay JVG, this is what you say now, make the Heat look good".

The Heat are already good, you don't need the commentators to slobber all over them. Mike Breen does a good job of that already, has been doing so for yrs. Don't make JVG do it too.

The Spurs can score, but they still have trouble defending the Elite teams, both as a team and individual (i.e. Duncan). The old Spurs legs are getting older and older.

It's no surprise considering Vogel did the same thing in the last series. I can understand Pop's reasoning for doing what he did in that scenario...Miami just got a little fortunate and as a Heat fan I'm not afraid to say that. Sometimes the matchups on the floor are going to dictate your own...

They've played a few other games this season I think.

In just 29 mpg he's still averaging a 15/10/3 + 2blk double double. 2nd in the West in D rating to Bogut. HIGH impact player on both ends.

I say Melo puts up 50 today, during the 3rd he'll have a 20 point qrt, his mid range game is sick and is starting to click, that jab step is what sets it up, arguably the best all around offensive game in the league, I was looking at the stats, and Melo's #'s are not to different than durants, pts KD:31 to Melo's 27,rebs Kd 7 to Melo's 9, ast KD 5, to Melo's 3, stls KD 1.5 to Melo's 1.2, blks KD. 8 to Melo's. 7, efficiency KD +25.45 to Melo's +21.20, so what makes them so different? Teams that there on, Durant has a better supporting cast. Am I saying that Melo is better than Kd? No, but I believe that KD isn't that Much better, again my opinion and we are all entitled to it.

I stand by that Mike Brown is the worst coach in the NBA. He does NOTHING! Dantoni is bad but Brown was like watching a plane crash.

Brown isn't worse than Del Negro. Their tied for being worst imo.

Del Negro coached decent teams so it's hard to compare them. But the Clippers have hardly been any better this season than last. In fact, they've been way worse defensively and probably a tad worse overall. He was a .500 coach in Chicago when Chicago wasn't quite ready to take the step they did end up taking. Chicago took a huge step forward the year he left, but I'm uncertain how much of that is indicative of VDN. Thibs is a far superior coach, one of the league's best. Rose took a HUGE step forward. Boozer came along and helped the offense a ton. Some of it is because VDN wasn't great, but that jump was coming to an extent regardless of who's coaching.

I don't think VDN is in either Brown or Cheeks' class. He isn't a good coach, but I always thought he caught just a tad too much flack.

I do think rating coaches is the hardest thing for us outsiders to do, however. So I should sound much less convinced than I do sound.

He plays fairly weak to average D. I will say that there is no advantage to having Lamarcus Aldridge over D. Lee, despite his ridiculous MVP chatter this season.

But the Clippers have hardly been any better this season than last. In fact, they've been way worse defensively and probably a tad worse overall.

We're not as deep or as healthy, our team is definitely better suited for playoff basketball considering its not relying on bench play as much.
