Melo's 62 points and 13 rebound performance not only marks the highest scoring total since 2007, and a franchise best, but it has been almost 20 years since a player grabbed 13 or more rebounds AND score 62 or more points. The last player to do it was David Robinson n April 24th 1994.

TWENTY YEARS!!

Amazing shooting display. For anyone downplaying his performance cuz it was the Bobcats bear in mind MKG is a very good athletic defender and he played good defense on Melo. For comparison when Deron Williams dropped 57pts on these same Bobcats last season it not against MKG or any particularly good defenders.

I get giddy thinking of what he could do with the Bulls. Man that's gonna be fun to watch.

Melo is also the ONLY player ever to register 62 points and NO turnovers.

Beast.

Melo played amazing, one of the best scoring rampages in today's game. The other Knicks did everything else and got out of Melo's way. efficient. more importantly, Knicks won.

I was hoping they would not take him out. Games like that are a joy to watch

Impressive. For not putting up any assists he sure than made up for it with rebounding.

Seriously, this!

**** sportsmanship. I'll beat you by 50 points while dropping 70+

Great efficiency, great effort on the boards, zero turnovers, awesome!

If I'm scoring 62 on that efficiency, I refuse to pass the rock unless I need to

I'm pretty sure Shaq had a 60-20 game sometime between 2000-2001.

You're right. On his 28th B-Day, March 6, 2000 vs the Clippers. He dropped 61 Pts - 23 RBS - 3 Ast - 4 TO in 45 Mints, and the Lakers won by 20Pts.

Maybe the OP should add 0 turnover to those stats up there.
