Can't believe he got cheers for first time when he entered game...then got some boos when first touched the ball. Go figure

Definitely had a smile on my face after that one, its like VC goes back in time 10 years every time he plays the Raps, the boo's have always got him going, but that was always VC's problem he needs stuff like that to really get him to play 100 %.

Eh, he's just not explosive anymore which is expected so not really enjoyable.

But they still boo that man? My God.

He should sum his career up by retiring with the Raptors. Years and years of consistent boos, for him to finally be cheered (or maybe they will just boo him some more which would be hilarious) to walk back in the Raptors uniform would be cool. It'll never happen, but yeah...

meh, the apex of the height of that dunk used to be Vince's initial liftoff back in the day. Not really impressive tbh.

sounds about right. but Ellis was on as well at times during the game but in the end, Toronto defense holding back a very decent MAvericks team without Dirk.

IMO new Raptors management are priming the fan base to do exactly that. He's on his way to getting at least his jersey retired.

That's true. It was a shadow of his former dunks. Maybe TRoss and DD need to give him some refreshers lol.

[Cue the "they'll never be Vince" response]

without taking sides on this, one of the saddest things in basketball is the relationship between Vince Carter and Toronto.

lol, I think this is more likely the case. I've been over the vince booing since he left NJ

Saw this on sportscenter.. Vince still throws it down, once in a while.

It was alright, but it wasn't "turning back the clock" good. He barely left the ground, relative to his good years. The most impressive part was hanging on to the rim while spinning a bit.

Apparently Drake (the new recruiter) told Vince after the game he wants him to 'come home man'.

It is a weird relationship to me at this point. VC was so impactful to Toronto that the drama is literally on a personal level.. Most of the times fans don't get so connected to a player personally, but you can bet us Toronto fans kept an insanely close eye on Vince in New Jersey. Once he left NJ..most got over it and the healing finally began.

Now everyone's all nostalgic. Which is strange to me cuz I was super nostalgic about VC about 3-4 years ago, after that I've kind of just had no emotional towards it. Everyones all how I was 3 years ago...

VC had better dunks this season though...he got a big one on Duncan and Lopez. ALso has been doing 360s and Windmills in pregames I've seen surfacing the internet (remember he's 37, that is ridiculous). Not sure why this one is getting hype..it was cool though no lie, out of a post play
