The top 10 were:

10. 2000 Suns (Kidd, KJ, Penny)
9. 2012 Mavs (Dirk, Kidd, Marion, Vince, Odom, Terry)
8. 2004 Lakers (Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Payton, Horace Grant)
7. 2009 Suns (Shaq, Nash, Hill, Amare, J-Rich)
6. 95 Spurs (Robinson, Rodman, Moses Malone, Terry Cummings, Doc Rivers)
5. 2005 Rockets (Yao, Mutombo, T-Mac, Vin Baker, Rod Strickland, Juwan Howard)
4. 2001 Blazers (Pippen, Kemp, Sabonas, Steve Smith, Sheed, Shrempf, Dale Davis, Strickland, Damon Stoudamire)
3. 2011 Heat (Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Stackhouse, Big Z, Juwan Howard, Mike Miller)
2. 2011 Celtics (KG, Shaq, Allen, PP, Jermaine O'Neal, Rondo)
1. 2007 Heat (Shaq, Wade, Walker, Payton, J-Will, Zo, Posey, Eddie Jones)

Pelton came up with this by adding up all the players peak WARP. Do you think he got it right? Any teams that should be in there if WARP isn't the only deciding factor?

I was shocked to see that Rockets team on there. I forgot how many washed up players we had. But still...kinda iffy. Also surprised the 97 Bulls with MJ, Pippen, Rodman,Kukoc, Ron Harper, and Parish missed the cut. They mentioned the 85 Sixers (Moses, Dr. J, Barkley, McAdoo), and no 80's Lakers or Celts teams.

What about last year Lakers?

Nash, Kobe, Ron Artest, Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, Jamison.

That's a good one. I would think that would surpass a few of those teams.

Nit-picking but 2011 Celts should be #1. Much better spacing.

Peak Kidd with Melo-Sheed-Tyson and peak Amare as a super sub should get an honorable mention. SG is weak, but Shump playing the best D we've seen in his short career would form a stellar defensive lineup with a couple guys who can explode for you offensively.

shocked ,i'd think '97 bulls(peak mj,pippen,rodman,parish,kukoc,harper) and '86 celtics(peak bird,parish,walton,machale,dj) would def be top 10,what about '98 rockets with hakkeem,barkey and drexler?

The problem with this list is a bunch of productive players essentially overrode a superstar because all 3 of them combined had a higher WARP than the 1 superstar, which I don't agree.

A good example is the 2001 Blazers. They are incredibly high because they had a lot of good players like Rod Strickland, Damon Stoudemire, Steve Smith, Detlfef Schrempf and Dale Davis, but they had very few true superstars.

That team is somehow better than a team of prime Shaq, Kobe, Malone and Payton? I don't know. I would trade any of the 3 top players on that Lakers team for any 3 of the above named Blazers.

I mean the true superstars on that Blazers team are Scottie Pippen, Shawn Kemp, Rasheed Wallace and Arvydas Sabonis (if we count his international years). Does anybody really want that 4 over Shaq, Kobe, Malone, and Payton? I don't care how much better the role players are on the Blazers, that Lakers team in their prime is just nasty.

I would even put last years spurs with Tmac up there. Definitely better than #10 imo.
