Let's hear 'em for the EAST and WEST!

Sorry, I would've posted a list, but considering the numerous injuries, and how bad the east is, I couldnt come up with a team, so I was hoping others could.

Teague over Afflalo
Stephenson over Drummond

As far as the West, I think if they're still in the top 8, Phoenix will get a representative in Dragic.

I don't have a problem with Cousins making it. Could see Anthony Davis get the spot instead

Monta Ellis is an All Star

In the West, he is the 2nd SG in scoring (20.1) 1st SG in passing (5.8) and 1st SG in steals (1.84)

Plus he has a higher FG% than Harden, Curry, Lillard, Parker and a lot more guards

Oh and Kobe, CP3, Westbrook won't play.

Ellis is an All Star

If Kobe gets re-evaluated Jan 27th and gets cleared shortly thereafter, he's definitely playing as well as starting the All-star game Feb. 16th. That gives him almost 3 wks after the evaluation.

He doesn't have many left. He's very record conscious (even if it's the all-star game) and knows he's only 1 steal away from surpassing Jordan for all-time in the all-star game, and 1 MVP away from surpassing Bob Petit for the most in history.

This is Kobe we're talking about. Contrary to what he's saying now to all the fans to vote for the younger guys....

HE'S PLAYING!

If Lance Stephenson and Steph Curry are not All-Stars, I'll boycott the all-star weekend

FraziersKnicks

deng?

Yes

This is assuming the reserves will be done with 3 guards and 4 forwards (keeping in line with the voting for starters).

19/7/4 in the weak east is enough to get it done. Unless DeRozan is considered a forward. Only other candidates are Bosh or Stephenson.

Steph will make it easily. Not sure I fancy Lance making it though.

Kyrie and Wade are locks for the fan vote and Wall, Lowry, Afflalo and DeRozan have all played better than Stephenson so he shouldn't get it over any of them. He might sneak in if one of those guards gets injured but I don't see the coaches picking him over any of those guys otherwise.

Too lazy to look it up so maybe someone will do it for me. Who is more deserving to make it as a PF in the West, Dirk, or David Lee?

The East must really suck if guys like John Wall are making it. I'd rather see MCW.

Ellis is an All Star

He is in the running, but he is not a lock. I mean if Ellis is an all star - Dragic is an all star. He is on the bubble, just like Dragic.

Drummond!!!

All he does well is rebound. He doesn't deserve to get in.

Considering how weak the east is, and how limited centers there has been, Drummond deserves the all star appearnce more than noah.

FriedTofuz

Kyrie irving shouldnt be an allstar, fans are stupid.

Chrisclover
01-13-2014, 02:23 AM
But your logic is that good centers should be voted in, fine. But why Drummond is better than Noah ?Is not Noah a solid center ?

Considering how weak the east is, and how limited centers there has been, Drummond deserves the all star appearnce more than noah.

Based on play thus far, these are the guys who should make it. Whether or not they are healthy enough to participate is another question.

CP3
Curry
Durant
Griffin
LMA
Love
Lillard
Harden
Dirk
Dwight
Davis
Tony Parker
Honorable mention: Lee or Iggy

Lowry
Afflalo
Paul George
Melo
Hibbert
Bosh
Irving
Wade
Wall

Thats all I can think of out East

Cal827
01-13-2014, 03:29 AM
Irving/Wall/Lowry
Wade/Affalo/Derozan (Wade will likely take the game off due to his knees though, I would think)/
Lebron/George/Anthony/ (Since it's now just "Front Court")
Millsap/Thaddeus/(The Pure PFS in the East are terrible, lol)
Bosh/Drummond/Hibbert

Deng, Jefferson, and Noah could be potentially on the team too I think

West:

Paul/Curry/Westbrook/Dragic
Harden/Ginobili
Durant
Love/Aldridge/Griffin
Howard/Davis/Cousins

I think that Dirk, Duncan, or even Rudy Gay (I know he sucked here, but he's been absolutely fantastic in Sacramento) could grab another open spot.

I'm afraid Kobe's going to get a spot, and other fan shenanigans will skew the vote.
Here's who I think should be starting on each team:
East back court: Kyrie Irving and John Wall
East front court: Paul George, LeBron James and Andre Drummond
West back court: Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul
West front court: Kevin Durant, LaMarcus Aldridge and Dwight Howard
I would love to see a Howard-Drummond match-up in the All-Star game. It's an extremely close call on Wall over Jeff Teague.

how is irving an all star this year?

he hasn't been that good this season and his team record is horrible in a rubbish eastern conference. he is the ultimate empty stat player

Fans voted him as a starter, crazy.

Kobe is going to be an All Star too and he avgs 13 points and has been mostly injured.

Coaches should vote starters too!
