Three first time candidates are going to be considered this year. All these guys were riddled with injuries, but were stars when healthy:

Alonzo Mourning
Penny Hardaway
Chris Webber

Edit: Robert Horry is also a first time candidate.

Some other notables candidates:

Mitch Richmond
Vlade Divac
Sidney Moncrief
Bill Lambier
Robert Horry
Mark Price
Mark Aguire
Buck Williams

For a whole list of reasonable candidates, go here:

So who deserves entry?

I think Webber and Zo deserve entry. Horry will get in eventually, but just doesn't scream "first ballot" to me. Divac deserves it for reasons expanding beyond his NBA career, which was still quite good. The other guys are all borderline.

Richmond and Moncrief should be looked at closely.

Having C-Webb and Divac going in the same year would be amazing!
