Kid had a 20/15/6 game with only 1 turnover. Stellar game from him.

What's his ceiling?

I know... I missed the game, but I just saw the stat line. Where the fawk did this kid come from?

It's hard to gauge though. It's one night. He stats with the Suns don't look good, but judging by his averages he wasn't getting consistent minutes and they had a coaching change mid-way through the season, so who knows.

He got cut from a lottery team, so... how good can he be? Who knows. Ben Wallace was cut from a lottery team s well.

I hope to see this kid play at this level consistently. The league could use a talent like that, but I think this night was an anomaly.

Too early to tell... but let's keep our fingers crossed and remain tentatively optimistic.

Just one night, and it was against Utah.

Need to see him play more.

Last Laker to have 20 pts, 15 assists was... Kobe Bryant. 2/12/02 against Washington. Kobe had 23 and 15.

One game...it's one game XD.

But great game from him never the less. What a steal he would be if he's more consistent.

And it only took 5 guards to get injured to give him playing time! :laugh2:

He was a beast at UNC. I was confused when the Wizards (correct me if I'm wrong) cut him.

Lottery pick with plenty of potential. Just hasn't gotten a chance until now to show the NBA what he can do. Sure not every game is going to be like this, but the kid has a future.

You know Kwame Brown had a 30 point 19 rebound game once... OP is jumping the gun

I don't know how this guy wasn't in the NBA, he was unreal at UNC. He has a decent shot but his true talent is amazing court vision and passing ability.

He has a tendency to do that, doesn't he? I remember him making Chris Duhon look like a legit starter.

Marshall was a lottery pick, wasn't he? I remember people talking about how much of a pure passer he was, but he had no offensive game. If he can make some shots, he can be a solid backup. That is saying a lot, considering the fact that his career looked over about a month ago.

And Tony Delk dropped 50 once! Everyone is capable of a randomly good game, but maybe this is the start of him at least having a career. He is in a system that allows him to do well. Who knows? I hope he does well.

If you watched the game he excelled mostly when the lakers played a half court offense.

has some skills to achieve in d'antoni's offense but i am still pretty skeptical of him as a shooter and defender. we'll see.

I'm just happy for him that he got picked up. He was given up on way to quickly. Just hope he can get a long-term contract out of this.

Jeremy Lin of 2014 in the making.

Jeremy Lin can do what he did in 2012 w/ any team now. He just needs a coach that plays him. See this is the difference here. D'Antoni played him. Woodson and McHale hold him back.

Now Marshall I've been telling y'all he's improved in the D-League. Y'all act like only scrubs play down there. I'm still waiting for Seth Curry to go somewhere where he can play. The Grizzlies have him as a 3 or 4th stringer.

Anyway Marshall isn't Lin. But he's going to make some plays for LAL now happen.

I agree that playing for D'Antoni against the Jazz will inflate some stats but he was a 1st round pick... he's already on my fantasy team.

If he is your starting PG, you wont win many games.

He will get a bunch of assists though.

He's a natural playmaker, his passing windows are so tight. I don't know how he gets it in there a lot of the time, although he needs to develop a consistent jump shot to stretch defences. It was obvious he wasn't a NBA ready player out of college, everyone knew he was a project with phenomenal passing skills with the possibilty of a great upside. I believe bottom line he just needed a chance with consistent minutes to see what type of player he truly is and the Lakers in their current situation are a prime fit this season. It doesn't hurt that he's got one of the greatest floor generals in the history of the league in Steve Nash that could be a positive influence on him moving forward.

Dantoni system makes him a superstar

His jumper is ridiculously broke though. I don't understand how you get through high school, college, and get all the way to league with a J like that. The chicks in the WNBA have better form....

Nothing special about him at all. D'Antoni was hoping to get another Jeremy Lin, someone who can come off the bench and jump start the team.

One game wonder.

His shooting has improved which I am not sure it could have gotten worse but shooting 3's at this clip may be too much to ask. He is an assist machine though.
