I was one of those fans hoping for Raps to Tank but I have come around unless we get a great package Lowry or Derozen. I was looking at the eastern conference and don't think there is a lot of players who are sure fire all stars.

Lebron James
Dwayne Wade (has missed quite a few games but still solid numbers on solid efficiency)
Chris Bosh (numbers don't blow you out of the water but have to reward winning)
Paul George
Roy Hibbert (defensive presence alone should get him a spot)
Al Horford
Paul Milsap
John Wall
Andre Drummond
Carmelo Anthony (voted in)

The Rest
Demar Derozen
Kyle Lowry
Jeff Teague (don't know if hawks deserve 3 all stars)
David West (If you REALLY want to reward winning)
Kemba Walker
Brandon Jennings
Josh Smith
Joakim Noah

Kyle Lowry has the highest PER of among the rest of the players mentioned.

I think Derozan should if the Raptors reach 500.

So Drummond is the 2nd best C in the East now?

Depend on the mood of the coachs who are the voters.sometimes they prioritise the PER, sometimes they dont.

I doubt it because the whole thing is a popularity contest, which discredits merit.

Should they? Yes. Will they? I highly doubt it.

Should they? Nope.

Will they? Hopefully not.

Look I get that you guys are in first place in your division and that it means you're almost back to .500 but lets be objective here, not a single one of their players has produced like an All-Star.

Coaches vote based on popularity? Really?

All star team is assembling best 12 players so far that season. Most years they wouldn't considered all stars but irrelevant. Who in the east would you pick over them? You have to have 12 players.

Dwyane Wade
John Wall
Kyrie Irving
Jeff Teague
Arron Afflalo

Thats my top 5 of east all-stars guards, so no they should not make the asg.

Do we know if wade cares to play? He's on the Duncan plan so maybe he doesn't want to

East shouldn't even get an all star team.

I don't think they will unless they separate themselves from the pack a bit more. Hope 1 of them do though.
