View Full Version : Will it be too little time to get in the Playoff race when Marc gets back?

Aw sugarfoot.........at least I felt giddy for a little while tonight, then WHAM ! They dropped their bombs on us, baby.
Started me to wondering IF we can get in the race, but then we weren't exactly tearing it up before Marc went out.
I feel a change coming, but I'm not so sure it'll be a player change, Pera must have made back his $1B in the stock market runup, so maybe he can afford to plead with Hollins or somebody else, and eat Joerger's salary and give ALL of us some hope. Now, don't get me wrong, Joerger seems like a fine fellow, but not the coach for this team.
Is is a great analysis when you dismantle a good team and take that kind of risk with fair weather Memphis fans? Tigers are doing well again, so Pera needs to sit up and take notice.
Ok, I'm rambling now. Crud.

With the massive injuries I'm pretty sure even Lionel would be limping just outside the playoff picture. The toughness would be a bit better, but I'm not sure we are over .500 with Hollins.

He should have never bad mouthed the Rudy trade (it was a good trade) and that's where he dug his own grave

Yep. He sure made his mistakes but then surely the analyst in them must realize their own. Playing a different style hadn't helped either. Grit and grind seems to have ground out. The team is seeing how to be more of a hybrid and that's not all bad. I'm just thinking Marc and this style won't have enough time to turn it around.

I think we can turn it around and surely get 42-45 wins. The question is will that be enough in a stacked west?

Unless we see some unraveling of the bottom 4 seeds , I doubt it.

Well i see phx losing the rest of the way, trying to get better draft position. Injuries can also strike at any time, as we well know

We are trending the right direction, just need to keep it up
